  • What is truly amazing is how his single note playing sounds as full as the chorded stuff. Amazing.

  • his hands were moving so fast near the end, it was pixelating on my screen

  • i was lucky enough to see him twice, and for him to play this song just inspires me to keep play the uke.... jake is god on the uke,

  • best ending ever

  • thanks

  • when he picks like that is he plucking each individual note or is he pulling off with his left hand?

  • Jake wins, my favorite song, but is really gonna take some speed to learn lol

  • first time i heard this i didn't even notice it was a ukelele... i didn't think the instrument could sound this good. :D

  • what's the song at the end credits???

  • Song at the end is Jake's cover of Ice Cream by Sarah McLachlan.

  • <3 You!!!

  • amazing!

  • ♪♪♪ simple amazing!

  • Jake you are the best!!! I really want to be able to play like you! I can almost play this song. I got the basics of it, I just have to add a little bit more effort into it. Well actually, I should put all my efforts into playing, but I'm trying my best to accomplish something. You inspired me Jake!!!

  • Yay!!! I can now play the song!!! I cannot perfect it but I can play it now!!! Should post a video of it soon.

  • I love Ice cream and 3rd stream. it always inspires me when jake plays

  • whats the name of the song thats rolling in the credits?

  • thefloatingcloud, Jake said the song is his cover of Ice Cream, originally by Sarah McLachlan. I had to pick and choose what songs from the concert to edit, but I liked that song so much I decided to use it for all the end credits.

  • the ending was in 7.

it was 3 bars of 7 and a bar of 6

    that was sweet

  • ya know what jake should do? he should tour with Aldrine Geurrero

  • I think he had

    since they know each other

  • that fast little riff he plays kinda sounds like the violin riff from The Devil Went Down To Georgia by the Charlie Daniels Band

  • BEAST

  • it's u-ku-le-le. There is no "y" in hawaiian only glide sounds when one sound linking with "i", "e" or "a" making sounds like y, w like for ex. maui is mau-i but but it would sound like ma-wee. "W" in hawaiian is pronounced as "v" despite the "w" used. like all "w" in german is pronounced as "v". your version of pronunciation is the lazy, ignorant version or how you hear it when someone say it. like vietnam is not be-it-nam. it's (vi-yet)-nam. sound almost the same but it's not.

  • ...Uh, pardon on my behalf, but can't you pronounce uke like "yuke" without the Y? That's how i tend say it.

  • tru dat

  • are you saying it as u-ke or just uke like (y)uke? if you're pronouncing it u-ke as in oo-kay then yes, thats the correct way of saying it. oo-kay as in (m)oo-kay.

  • why so many people calling it uke? uke is a martial art term for a trainer that recieves attacks or a anime/manga term for a submissive homosexual partner in the relationship.

    awesome song/playing btw!

  • No. 'uke' from the word 'ukulele' is pronounced 'yuke'.

You're thinking of 'oo-kay', which is the Japanese pronunciation of the letters u-k-e.

    Totally different.

  • to put it simpler, people call it uke cuz its shorter and easier to say ratha den sayin the whole thin.

  • Yah me too, just gotta keep practicing hard I guess. But yah, I love the tenor uke.

  • Yah I have a tenor uke, straight from hawaii, they do exist but they are harder ti come by

  • ummmm......uhhhh....ok....sorry???

  • hahahaha hard to come by lol. go down to music mac in ala moana or even easy music center and they have PLENTY OF THEM! i doubt that they are rare.... the only rare ones are baritone complete KOA WOOD ukuleles. Customs too are very rare... tenors however can be found all over in hawaii Doi!!!!

  • oh my god, that ending, oh my god, so ... amazing! thats fantastic! its incredible! I LOVE HIM!!!

  • its my third dream he is very good with his instrument

  • I can say with every bit of honesty that I am able to muster that I have never been so moved by a musician as I am when I listen to Jake Shimabukuro

  • I love all the feeling and energy that he puts into it!

  • spiffy

  • does anyone know were I can downloads his song, he totally rocks!

  • I didn't know there was such a thing as a tenor uke. I assumed he used a baritone but now that you mention it, it really is too bright of a sound, at least compared to mine.

  • amazing player he just blows my mind, i dint realize how many different kinds of sounds a uke could make

  • this guy just blows my mind to heaven

he plays so clear and perfect... i dont hear any mistakes

God must have blessed his hands

i cant believe that someone puts as much soul in his playin as jake shimabukuro

if someone know the chords pls let me know

  • awesome!!! ~_~

  • did this guy go to the 'crossroads' he seems like he has a soul

  • ya, must be like robert johnson lol

  • is this song called third strea coz i cant find it anywhere

  • c tuning i guess so the strings are G C E A ( go to pineappe pete's uke school to tune ur ukulele like jake's)

    have a nice day

  • cheers man :D

  • he uses a KAMAKA ukulele in Tenor size;)

it's a custom made ukulele and probably cost more than ur car. there is it's signiture on his fretboard if you look closely. Mahalo

  • Yeah i knew it was custom...and expensive...anyway, i dont have a car yeah...but what tuning?

  • What tuning does he use? baritone? tenor? or the other one?

  • wow...he's so fast

i wish i could do that

  • Did You guys know that he makes all his songs up???? go to his website JakeShimabukuro dot com

  • Aloha people keep dreaming we will never be as good as jake he started when he was 4 years old

  • Come to Australia already! I would give my legs to see this guy play live

  • he's played in oz before...not sure when, but there are a few youtube clips of him playing with tommy emmanuel (they also played together in the u.s.), including an awesome version of "while my guitar gently weeps" that they played live on 9's morning news program.

  • theres a passage still remindind me sonic the hedgehog dotn remember the level name cuz too old but it does exactly same this passage starts at 1.59 lol silly but still awesome to see!

  • i think your on about the emerald hills level

  • Wow... I saw him play in San Juan Capistrano in Feb... and he was utterly amazing.

  • man i would love to see this guy in concert sometime.

  • This man is my only living hero. Truly an inspiration, I am going to get an ukulele now.

  • holy crap, that was EXACTLY what I was just thinking. Crazy.

  • This guy is simply the best player of any stringed instrument ever.
