Mel Blanc’s delivery of “Yes, isn’t it delightful?” combined with Marvin's fey little hand motion makes me laugh like a lunatic every time.

Ben Washam animated about half of this cartoon – everything from “How Halloweeny can ya get?” to Bugs getting shot with the straitjacket. I can’t get enough of the way he did Marvin’s frustrated little back-and-forth walk at 3:41.

This was "Marvin the Martian's" second appearance [his first was "Haredevil Hare", in 1948]- and "K-9's" last. The astronomer at the climax is a caricature of Chuck Jones' fellow Warners' director, Friz Freleng.
