@HillToTheMan68 Shut the hell up! Ignorant people like you make me sick. He's not tryna be like MICHAEL JACKSON! Marlon is Marlon and Michael is Michael.Big difference. He's not tryna be like him. Stop being ignorant!
@HillToTheMan68 Hey you know that storry which Michael told a reporter in an interview in the '80s ? Or rather the interview with Oprah ? Michael himself told them both how it works when he and his brothers had to practice for their next concert : They practice the songs and the steps and Joe Jackson ( we all know that he beat Michael ! ) controlled that every note & every single step was done right ! If you missed a step , Michael said , Joe came to beat you ! You HAVE to do it RIGHT ! ...
... And Michael also said that his brothers always tryed to do it right , especially Marlon ! But Marlon (and in this cause you're propably right ) was Marlon , not Michael ! And Joe beated Marlon more for his mistakes than anyone else of his brothers , especially Michael ! ( Katherine also wrote a Book about their family-storry called "The Jacksons - An american dream" . The storry is filmed with the same title and shows all the truth behind the smiles of the Jackson 5 , especially this storry)
... So you can guess what happened and what Joe Jackson said ? Right, Marlon had to put up the beats of his father, Joe (Michael and the others indeed had to call Joeseph) .. . And Joe said: do it like Michael! Do it like Michael! Now guess what is going on in the head of a ... 7-year-old boy when he is beaten, perhaps due to a minimal mistake in a choreography of his own father under the instruction "Do it like Michael!" ?
... Jeah , I think Marlon was scared and when he performed he might thought :" Do it like Michael , do it like Michael , do it like Michael ... " or " Ok , now this step ... that step ... singing up ... this step ... puh concert over ... I haven't done any mistake , I hope " ! By the way for Michael it was heavy too , because he just danced and sang along , haven't done as much mistakes as his brothers , but he wasn't allowed to be a kid and he saw what happened to Marlon ...
... and always that sentence : Do it like Michael ! I can imagine that he wished that he could help his brother(s) by being worse than his talent made him , doing mistakes although he actually got it or sth. like that ... but he couldn't do it wrong because he actually was and will ever be the King of pop although he wasn't crowned this title back than ... ! Michael was / is unique and neither Joe nor Michael or anyone else thought of the possibility that nobody would ever BE like MJ !
1:14-1:18 Now THAT is a kid that is entertained!!! Damn, what entertainer these days has the ability to make kids go crazy like that AND drive the women crazy and adults of all different age groups??? This performance proves it....hell MJ ALWAYS proves it! Only MJ can do this. Check out his performance at the 30th anniversary...same thing if not even a GREATER reaction to this.
Clearly Michael has already "departed" from the rest of the Jackson 5 and left them in the dust. He was just performing on his own and his brothers were like backup singers. They used to be very choreographed back in the old days.
Michael was already a star in his own light by this time. People forget off the wall was released in '79 and sold more than anybody could have imagined.
hey thanks a lot for uploading this video..... it means sooo much to me. I tried looking several places for this performance but most were removed on youtube... Once again thanks buddy. Made my day :)
You know what pisses me off, the 3 people that disliked this video watched it.... if they really disliked it they wouldn't of watched this masterpiece !!!
It's so fun to see! When Michael tells the audience to raise their hands, the entire black audience stand up and start dancing, while the white ones just sit there clapping.
hey ppl! Me And My Cousins Started This Show Called The Real House Wives Of Them Jacksons! Wall Should Check It Out! We Would Really Apperciate It! Thank You For Your Time! Stay Blessed!:D
The whole show is perfect! But I also love the fact that it's a family reunion. That's why from 4:27 is my favourite part. MJ singing with Jermaine again.
Mike was happy as shit yu can tell! He was so excited! Although MJ's solo career did wonders you can tell that he was so in love with being in a part of the jackson five..
@deenzilla because Jermaine deserted the Jackson 5, in earlier times. The Jackson 5 changed from motown to epic records, but jermaine was the only one who stayed with Motown, because he was married to Berry Gordy's daugther, and Berry Gordy is the Motown boss ;-). And so the Jacksons were Michael, Marlon, Tito, Jackie and Randy
It's easy to see why Michael was the star of the group and had such a huge career after. He had amazing presence and was so energetic. When watching them all perform, your eyes followed Michael (at least mine did).
Beautiful...simply indescribable...I'm sitting here about to cry. I'm going to have to have to tell all of the MJ fans I know to listen to this...The JCKSONS AT THEIR very BEST.
I wonder how the Band after them and michaels solo performance with Billie Jean must have felt. Must have sucked epicly. Does anybody remember any other bands at that concert?
@hotdog2020 yes its sad teh entourage MJ surounded himself adn the jealosy of his brotehrs made them to loose contact.Somebody shoulda been there for mike definately but he used to change number etc he was Mj you aint goign to tell Michael Jackson waht to do no matter if you ar ea brother or a mother
@MJLOVER4000 Yes, and it was quite annoying how he kept trying to compete with him. Marlon too stiff to try and compete with Michael. If you watch a lot of those videos of them performing as kids, you can see Marlon tried it then too.
@Apollonia316 That isn't really the case... Marlon is like an abused child when it comes to dancing so what you see is him overcompensating from the trauma in childhood. He was the one actually getting most of the beatings for missing steps when they started as the jackson5. Mike said so himself . So you'll notice now he actually is getting the steps but he's over performing them like he's still trying to avoid the ass whippin. If he would've loosened up he might have given mike a run.
He had very clear that, that night would be HIS night, since his clothes, so brightless, so uper than his brothers. He was allways the best of all. His performance was allways superior than the others artist, as singer, dancer and as a show man. I just simply loved him since I saw him for the first time, when I was 10. He was an will be my angel on heaven.
0:32 - 0:34 Love the way that guy is clapping his hands for all he's worth, LOL. The Jacksons have such huge charisma and style! Something that the manufactured boy bands of today will NEVER be able to match.
@JayRicci7891 There was never suppose to be another Sinatra, but along came Sammy Davis Jr. There was never suppose to be another Elvis, but along came Micheal Jackson. So on and so on. There's millions of ICONS to come.
It's easy to see why Michael ended up having the career he had. He was the most dynamic, energetic entertainer for that entire show. His moves were so precise. You couldn't take your eyes off him. Even to this day when I watch this, it's like boy that Michael was different. You can see it.

It wasnt nice when they attackes countries, raped woman to make more muslims. even their leader, mohammed the analphabetic pedophile, was a childmolester.
Since muslims entered the world violence is growing,
i dont want to be an ass but they are immigrating to european countries in massive numbers race mixing with the indegenous people of europe, costing money, starting violence and NOT ASSIMILATING to european culture. they tear down ancient churchesto make mosques. ok to an extent, but i dont want europe to look like iraq!!

ur a fuckin racist. I'm not muslim but muslins aren't violent. For example, they didn't go and make war in Vietnam. ok, jk but do you know that muslins invented the digts ( 0,1,2 ... ), and really helped medicine ( check Wikipédia). I think everyone should accept each other or even try to understand him - and that was the message of MJ, u know.

ur a fuckin racist.
