I can still recall when i watched the news on tv that she won in this contest biruin mo tinalo nya si cristina aguilera. justine temberlake and britney was also among others who joined in this star search just not sure if they were in that same year

Banig really took everyone by surprise in the US after she won sa Star Search. During the 80's, Star Search was the ultimate show that any singer would die to be part of and getting into the show meant connections and money and sheer talent.

kung ako ang tatanungin mas mahusay si banig keysa kay charice. Nauna nga lang si banig pero may showmanship kasi si banig at may good quality of voice hindi pasigaw tulad ni charice na minsan ay nakakasawa na pakinggan kasi dun niya dinadaan sa biritan. Walang original composition si charice laging kinakanta ang songs ni whitney pauli-ulit..meron pala ung gawa nung americano.

Nagkakaroon lang nang comparison kay Charice dahil it took this long to have another Banig. Pero halos ibang iba ang pinag daanan nitong dalawa. Banig really took everyone by surprise in the US after she won sa Star Search. During the 80's, Star Search was the ultimate show that any singer would die to be part of and getting into the show meant connections and money and sheer talent.

Many kids nowadays have beautiful talent but are to shy to share it. Banig on the other hand wants to show her talent because she is so proud of it. She really deserved to win.

Well, you can tell that to the Marines! The whole America was mesmerized by her talent during an era with no youtube,chatrooms,social networking sites,cellphones,etc. - things that can easily launch you into stardom nowadays. Your opinion doesn't hold water, really!
