Over the course of this past month, I think I must have cooked this more than ten times!
I love your recipes Titli, and I've gotten so much better in the kitchen already! My parents can finally stop worrying that I might starve to death when I move out so thank you on thei behalf aswell!
Amazing video, however, what if i want to do Hawawshi for a vegetarian, any suggestion as to what i replace meat with?
ummm i am thinking eggplant or some kind of a mix of chick peas with lentils and kidney beans..i saw you mixing them in a food processor in one of your videos...really, your videos are very inspiring.

Is English allspice different from American allspice? The allspice here is just the ground Pimenta dioica berry.

YAY Hawawshy...... mom used to make it using large flat brown pita bread, wrapped in butter paper, roasted in the oven.... tasted... PHENOMENAL....
Some restaurants in Cairo used to same pita bread you're using, and other had it in custom made dough baked in the oven....a.k.a. Premium Hawawshy :)
