  • I've been watching the whole series, very inspiring stuff, even when you're not building a robot. Just follow your goals & dreams and don't let anyone tell you you should do something normal like everybody else...

  • 1:05 looks stable lol

  • holy flip i just reealized that it looks exactly like the robot picture i drew in 1st grade i mean it looks exactly like it

  • You simply are amazing and I hope the best for you and your spider robot!

  • Why did you take the cool compound bow pulley-cable-spring contraptions? Did securing the roller assemblies in place somehow remove their purpose?

  • Dude! Congratulations on having something that can walk!

  • Did it just take it's first step?

  • Yayyy, i was view #4000

  • Its bad luck to walk under a robot leg!

  • dude ur crazy cool :)

  • I haz found you! 8)

  • Reddit has found you.

  • He needs shoes. Makes some shoes that will absorbe the energy.

  • @Elephantintheroom01

YES! Give him shoes! Brilliant idea!

  • pretty jumpy..

  • Good job, after watching this little vid I understand exactly how he did it. I might try my hand at building a small one myself. (Quite sure he has a patent out on this one, so no, there will not be selling it).

  • pretty jumpy

  • It's first steps! Cool!

  • Nice.

  • When are you mounting the GIANT LASER ? (PUTTING PINKY OF RIGHT HAND INTO CORNER OF MOUTH MENACINGLY !! LOL )

  • BRAVO!!! BRAVISSIMO!!! STUPENDO!!!

  • Oh how I have waited for this day! This is so awsome! I'm glad for you man! :)

  • oh man. oh man oh man oh man so freaking neato.

  • I love how you're building a giant robot in your shed, out of scrap aluminum, and the U.S. military still uses ground troops... You are, in every respect of the word, 100% awsome

  • @HELPRODUCT1ONS To be fair the US military are using robots too...

  • After going to you website and seeing the other robots you've built in action, I have no doubts your giant 'bot's maiden voyage will be a smashing success. Thanks for sharing your madness!! (Tarzan yell)

  • THIS IS GETTING SO EXCITING! I can't wait to see it in full action!

  • Everything went better than expected.

  • nice one

  • can't wait to see it walking outside alone!!!

    good job, like always!

  • I'm jumping in joy, but still a little worried. To much of a shock could rip light weight metals...

  • this is some epic mad scientist material. Soon the machine will be fully operiational! Mehehehe.

  • do you think you'll ever release designs for the mechanism that lets that thing walk?

  • @Everfalling

i dont think he would do that but im sure you could buy one of his rc toys when they are done, and take that apart to find out for your self

  • I have been watching your videos since i stumbled upon grp number 7 I believe. its been such an adventure watching all your videos since than and seeing how much you and your projects have progressed in the last few years. thank you for the Journey Jamie and I look forward to watching more videos in the future.

  • @mem7048 check out some grp clips from the start jamie designed it so it could be disassembled and be transported in his truck, i doubt it would fit in his truck all in one go but it should be small enough to fit trough the door =)

  • One question though? How does it get throught that little door?

  • @mem7048 watch everything >:( skipping towards the last eps takes all the fun out of it.

  • @mem7048 Na there's a garage door, what used to be the hanger door opens still :)

  • epic!

  • can't wait to see this robot walk on its on....and imaged when its done....o man...can;t wait now

  • So what's with the deadline? Is the robot going to be used for promos to sell the toy versions?

  • The day you become famous let it be known that we were followers since the beginning

  • Wooooo! Look at those legs!

  • Tarzan and the giant spider.lol

  • Awesome. Baby's first steps. Man, you are going to get that again. But you are going to have to wait for that. But really awesome job. Knew you could do it.

  • Well, I was definitely wrong... When you first started this project, the way you went about it (without any type of blueprint) I was almost certain that something that large would have problems with leverage and being able to hold itself up (smaller systems tend to have less force acting upon them then the full scale version) but, after watching for the last year, I am thoroughly impressed.

  • Oh boy this has really been the best thing to ever come to Youtube. Thank you for sharing it jaimie and let me say I cannot wait to see your GRP ambulatory :-)

  • at 6:40 i thought you broke your door. haha

  • oh my god it can move. JME, what have you DONE! Quick motorize it and put a chair ontop and ride it in a parade!

  • When jaime? When shall we see this feat of awesome -move- ?

I want to see my tax dollars-I mean helpful donations (XD) at work..

when you do it, lets have an epic dramatic walk-sequence as it steps out of the workshop :)

  • is it just me or did that leg look like it was bending? nice job jme the robot look's good :)

  • I can see it longing for freedom!

How shall you unleash the beast!?!?

  • it's going to be scary!

  • uh oh? WHY uh oh? the uh oh scared me :(

  • jme you might just be the awesomest person ever

  • I've been waiting to see this for years now. Can't wait to see it electrified and in action.

  • yay!!!!! cant wait to see it
