  • best team in the history of football

  • Never before have I seen such a beatdown in a national title game, I'll give it to the 95 Huskers, they were the greatest ever.

  • 402 Omaha NebrasKa!!!!!

  • Salute 95 Huskers from the Longhorn Nation

Looking forward to a great game Sat.

    Hook Em Horns

  • Tommy Frazier.....THE REAL GREATEST COLLEGE QB

  • I'm not a Husker fan, BUT the 95 team would have killed any and all college teams and probably some pro teams too....

  • 95 Huskers shits all over any other collegiate team that I have seen in my lifetime (including 01 Hurricanes) and I'm not even from Nebraska. Tommy Frazier was a true talent as he could pass just as well as he could run. Unfortunately, he played at a University whose bread and butter was three yards and a cloud of dust and a defense that was hard as granite. If the 01 Hurricanes played this team, they'd be in for a complete ass whooping.... PERIOD!

  • cernach12

where you from, that's a very astute observation and one that I and most college football fans agree with (every time there's a vote on best college teams of all time 95 Nebraska wins every time) i'll cheer for your boys if you tell me who they are ( as long as they're not OU, Texas, Mizzou, KState, Colorado, USC, FSU, Miami, Michigan, Florida)

  • one more thing! to the comparison of the defenses and miami allowing less points...ok lets go back to basics for you...when you score a lot of points aka 1995 nebraska the other team (the opposition) more opportunities to score...now that that is settled nebraska could flat out run the ball you could not stop them..no chance doesnt matter who you lined up against them that year...just doesnt matter well i guess thats my two cents for right now..nice chattin wit you all!!

  • the guy shoulda been one of the best ever...his off the field issues kept him from greatness though....we were stacked that year and NO ONE..not 04 USC, 93 FSU, 96 Florida, 01 Miami, 47 Notre Dame watever..NO ONE was gonna stop us from winning a championship...man i wonder if some of you people were even alive to watch it...cause it was something else!!!!

  • closest game washington st. 35-21. 35-7 going into the 4th quarter where the 4th stringers gave up 2 td's late to make it look close...are you kidding me!! this arguement is not close...other than that the nfl game is so entirely diff than the college game its ridiculous and you cannot compare college talent to stardom or watever you call it in the nfl. furthermore i saw on here that lawrence phillips didnt have speed...apparently you didnt watch him then..

  • 95 Nebraska Vs ASU game could have been an all time blowout over a team that the very next year is a play from winning the NC. That game could have easily been a "name your score game" if T.O. had wanted. Could have been 110 to 10 if Nebraska and T.O. had so chosen. Those that don't accept that, go look at boxscore. Why did NU score 63 in 1st half and only 14 in 2nd? Because T.O. played 3rd and 4th team offense after half time. ASU only got the 28 they did due to T.O. being a decent guy.

  • k if i see a record comparing dorsey's 38-2 to frazier's 33-3 one more time i mite flip.....frazier did not even play most of his jr. year because of blood clots otherwise his record surpasses dorseys and more. if you payed attention you would know that...... 95 huskers no question you cannot compare to wat that team did....starters were always out by half time so your so called "running up the score" was done by 2nd/3rd/4th stringers..

  • People just don't get it. Just don't realize. Good example of T.O. and Nebraska getting entire team on the filed was the 95 game against ASU. Same ASU team with J. Plummer, K. Poole and P. Tillman that plays for title in 96. Game in Lincoln was 28-0 in 1st qtr, 35-7 at end of 1st qtr. NU scored 63 in 1st half but only 14 in 2nd! ASU scored the 28 they did because T.O. put 3rd and 4th teamers in on d and called off the dogs on offense in 1st half!

  • terrible song accompanying some great 'sker clips

  • You just don't get it.

There were 3 National Titles in 4 years.

And there would have been another had we made the field goal on the last play of the game.

    Think about it.

    Nobody has ever done that.

Standing home wins are nice. But you've got to add in the National Titles.

Then, and only then, do you have something.

  • you mean 2 and a half in 4 years

  • you can look at it that way if you prefer, but we have an ENTIRE SEARS TROPHY to show for it.

Michigan barely got by their foe (washington state) with the cougars threatening down to the last play.

NU absolutely dominated #4 Tennesee, and would have humiliated Michigan had they not been hiding in the Rose Bowl.

  • what about colorado? michigan beat them by 24 and nebraska almost lost to them. nebraska almost lost to missouri too.

  • But they didnt.

Champions don't lose. They find a way to win. And when they play a big opponent that is when the real team stands up. Like whipping Washington in Seattle and whipping Tennesee so completely. Against Tennessee they had over 200 yds rushing in the 3rd qtr alone. The TN players were respectfully asking NU to "backoff" in the 4th qtr.

They did everything in that game and proved themselves worthy of the SEARS TROPHY.

    We have 3 of them.

If in Lincoln, check them out.

  • dude okay you know how to capitalize sears trophy. they almost lost to colorado and michigan blew colorado out.

  • Get off the CU outcome. My god! It was CU's second game with a new QB in a very hostile environment. Huge difference between the 2nd and 8th game and being at home in Boulder. Something pretty interesting that speaks loudly about Nebraska and Michigan. NU beat down their ranked opponents by an game avg of nearly 27 points a game, while Michigan beat their ranked opponents by an avg of 13 points. Pretty clear who the better team was against highly rated teams.

  • Michigan got a CU team 2nd game of season with a brand new QB in his first away game. Most any coach or knowledgeable fan understands teams improve between first and eight game, especially as it relates to new QB. Nebraska and Osborne sat on 17 point lead late in 3rd qtr. T.O. said after the game, that was a mistake because NU could have scored another 21 points if wanted. Not to mention Colorado always plays Nebraska tough. it's called a rivalry. Same for Missouri.

  • oh ya they could have just scored another 21 points if they wanted to they just didn't feel like it. you're a dumbass.

  • Dude, whether you want to believe it or not, Osborne said after the game in his press conference that he went conservative offensively late third qtr to protect the 17 point lead. It's a fact. He sat on the ball and said that was a mistake because he exposed his defense to having to play nearly 85 plays. And yes, big diff between Mich getting this CU team at home, 2nd game and NU getting them in Boulder 8th game. 97 NU would dismantle 97 Mich, much like they did to Tenn and P. Manning

  • i'm not disputing osborne said that it's just annoying listening to your pussy excuses about why nebraska didn't murder colorado and missouri like they would michigan. aw well it was the 8th game and we played them in boulder. wow.

  • More evidence that 97 Nebraska would dismantle 97 Mich. Nebraska beat down their ranked opponents by an avg margin of nearly 27 points, while Michigan sqeauked by several ranked opponents with a 13 points avg victory margin. It's all really obvious, when all was on the line against high level competition Nebraska dominated and Michigan often struggled I.E. Ryan Cryin Leaf OMG! And NU whips Tenn with P. Manning, J. Lewis, T. Fair, L. Little, Al Wilson, M. Nash etc

  • So, you don't think Michigan saw a different QB in his second game as a starter and first ROAD game than the team and QB that Nebraska played two months later and in Boulder? You're an idiot if you don't think that Hessler and cu improved to some degree. Jesus, dude. Most any coach or any KNOWLEDGEABLE FAN will tell you that any team and players, especially first time QB's improve dramatically in performance from early season to late season games. That's a no brainer

  • ... you're still making excuses. i understand your point you don't have to keep repeating it 12 times. oh ya ohio state beat missouri by 3 td's in missouri too.

  • @95skersbestever

the top 3 best teams that iv'e seen played

    1 1995 nebraska

    2 1988 notre dame

    3 2005 texas

  • Absolutely would have beat the crap out of 97 Mich. I am so sick of hearing Mich fans say Missouri this, Colorado that. My god! Rivalry games with the number 1 team in the country in THIER house. Damn right Nebraska gets everyone's best shot. And I won't apologize for the Miracle in Missouri. So what! Football gods still owe NU a title or two. 97 Nebraska would embarress 97 Mich, probably worse than what they did to Tenn with P. Manning, J. Lewis, Al Wilson, T. Fair, L. Littel and others.

  • Nebraska=envy of every college football program!

  • 60-3 over a 5 season period.

    miami only dreams of that.

  • Yeah and usually when we played Miami we did it at their house. Try coming to Lincoln in the 90's , No chance! Go Huskers!

  • undefeated for a 9 year period at home and holds the most ncaa winning streak records

nebraska wishes it had the talent to do all that

honestly though we all have no idea which team is better than which they are seperated by 6 years

  • Like I said,

    60-3 for a 5 year period.

I don't care how many winning streak records you have - it doesnt compare with this one.

  • Ok? How does 9 straight years of home wins not compare? There are NO LOSES.

  • 3 titles in 4 years

  • and it was ESPN who voted them best team ever

  • but in my opinion nebraska and miami are the 2 best college football teams ever but 95 nebraska comes out on top

  • yeah miami and nebraska are great, but miami i believe is better

yeah but miami owns nebraska in bowl games and they were a college football dynasty in the 80s

who has the most college football winning streaks? miami

i mean did any player from nebraska tie ladanian tomlinson's td rushing record {28} AS A FRESHMAN? NO

and that wasn't even in 2001

  • umm tommy fraizer was 33-3 as a starter

played in 3 national championships out of his 4 years as a starter. all against top ranked Florida teams ; FSU 18-16, Miami 24-17, Florida 62-24....... and was awarded MVP for all 3 national titles

was a heisman runner up. shuda won it

  • ok dorsey was 38-2, which is better than 33-3 and won 2 awards, was a heisman finalist twice and deserved it in 2001 when he BEAT nebraska and their heisman winner, while winning and going to 2 national titles

he won 2 major bowl games in a row and was a national title mvp

a little hotter i would say alltime is dorsey

not to say though that both weren't nfl greatness

  • believe w/e u want man . i think 95 NU was the best of all time and u think 01 canes are . we'll never know man . both were amazing championship teams .. only way we wud know who wud win is 4 them to have time machine play them in a game

  • i agree

we have different views for our own teams and we will never know

    but yes, both were

some to the likes that we may never see again

  • i agree, two of the best teams ever!

even though i would give the edge to nebraska, remember ahman green was 4th string, brooke berringer, 2nd team qb was gonna be a 1st round pick, and championships are won in the trenches, no team will ever have a o-line and d-line like nebraska had...simply put best team ever, nothing will ever surpass the 95 husker team.

  • and gettin in to legal problems like some retard named Plaxico Burress who's to stupid to leave his gun at home or even lock the gun with the safety button. i mean shit, how the fuck do u shoot ureself in the damn thigh voluntarily. haha. man, what an idiot. that just shows how much the NFL sucks these days and how much of a bad example some NFL players can be.

  • wtf? is this a fuckin spelling bee or somethin?

  • and o yeah, those blackshirts layed everyone out. HAHA!

  • ok i have somethin 2 say 2 the husker haters u guys r just jealous cuz u guys dont have fans that never stop believin in the team and all that pays off!so u dont like the huskers, fuck off and dont watch these videos then! GO BIG RED!

  • This team would beat any other team in history ! They where the best at what they did and that was deal out the punishment on both sides of the ball and going 3and 4 deep into the depth chart nough said !

  • Nice video LouisianaHusker. I have one comment to all the Husker haters, just ask the players and coaches who had to play against the '95 team who they think is the G.O.A.T. I saw interviews with several of the coaches and they all said defending against T.O's option attack was a nightmare.

  • 5 National Championships

Like Osbourne said once, a whole lot of talking isn't going to do any good.

Let the players do the talking on the field.

  • I like how you mixed pictures and videos. I'm wondering how you got your videos though. Did you just record them off your t.v. screen?

  • hahahahahahaha nice song

  • The athletes at Nebraska which play with the MOST HEART are now found on a volleyball court and that is the bottom line. You can't win championships playing without the HEART and DETERMINATION that those teams of the 90's did. and I don't have any confidence that Callahan and his staff can instill any of that heart in his players.

  • preach on, brutha. PREACH ON!

  • Good job on the music. That was 12 years ago husker fans...its time to move on

  • sad they have gone so low

  • Just saw the preview to "Perfect Effort" about De La Salle's 12 year winning streak. It looks like a pretty inspirational movie. Search for it on youtube or it's website perfecteffort (dot) com

  • why you gotta put gay songs yo?

  • Hahahah, remember when Lee Corso picked florida to beat us in the orange bowl.

  • ya i agree with u scrawneypaledude frazier did get screwed

  • i loved that year, and i was only 5

  • tatertots00 you are so stupid the 1995 huskers would beat the crap out of the 01 canes no matter how many players got drafted you dumd ass.

  • I'd say the #2 and #3 could change two. Bear Bryant called that team the greatest he had ever seen two years later, after the other USC team played. But #1 is indisputable. It's fact.

  • Best teams ever: 1.) '95 Nebraska 2.) '72 USC 3.) '71 Nebraska 4.) '47 Notre Dame 5.) '01 Miami 6.) '56 Oklahoma 7.) '04 USC 8.) '47 Michigan 9.) '68 Ohio State 10.) '79 Alabama The list varies depending on who you are, but I am 100% sure about that #1 spot.
  • Coming from a Norte Dame Fan that is nice to see

  • Easily the best football team of all time, and anyone who has been following college football will tell you that. And to the guy that said 93 FSU and 96 Florida were better teams, put down the crack pipe. Both of those teams had losses.

  • Easily the best college football team of all time, and anyone who has been following CFB since before the new milleneum will tell you that.*

  • The greatest college team of all time.

  • Tommie Frazier did NOT get sacked once his senior year! What other QB could say that. This team was the best ever, no comparison. The 01 Hurricanes were go, no doubt about that but they could not have handled this explosive offense led by Tommie Frazier and the smash mouth blackshirts. From the words of Steve Spurrier, this is the best team ever!

  • DES32988....first of all, let me explain that I too believe the 95 Huskers to be the best ever, but, as for Tommy Frazier, although he was a phenomenal QB, he wasnt sacked all year long because: HIS OFFENSIVE LINE WAS NFL CALIBER. You too probably coulda ran for 5 yards a carry behind them. To see how effective he really was, we woulda had to see him behind a wimpier line, and Im guessin he woulda been only slightly above average.

  • scrawneypaledude... I am glad that you agree the 95 Huskers were the best team ever. About Tommie Frazier, the reason I think that he was the best is because he simply didn't lose. He won championships, and got screwed on the Heisman. Your right, the o-line contributed ALOT to his success, but no other QB could do it like Tommie, sorry. The best option QB ever, hands down.

  • I don't think there's any arguing that. Frazier was definitely screwed on the Heisman...thats why I havent watched a ceremony since. I lost faith in it. I once saw a clip (Christian Peter? I cant remember) saying the Huskers were actually glad Frazier lost because they knew he would come out 10 ft tall and bullet proof and prove them wrong at the bowl. Later tater. Peace.

  • tater - 95 UF was supposed to absolutely destroy NU too. 01 miami. yeah they were a magnificent team....but they could not have hung with 95 NU. need to beat VT by more than 2 points to get that nod.

  • 01' miami hurricanes WOULD ABSOLUTLEY DESTROY these guys

    <br>

over 30 players got drafted from that 01 team every defensive player and all there backups got drafted

  • that is the most dumbass shit I've heard all year... the NFL and NCAA are 2 completely different types of football, you should really stop commenting on things you know nothing about... 95 huskers would most likely beat 01 canes, the entire country knows that.

  • Over 30 players were drafted from that 01 Canes team. AND? Ryan Leaf was drafted, too. The last time I checked, Leaf was only 1,000 yards away from setting the all time passssssssss.....oh yeah, wait.....no he wasnt. Leaf was a temper tantrum throwing lil baby that sucked. Call us up in a couple years and let know how them there 30 draft choices are commin' along. Im sure they will ALL still be playing. Prolley even throw out the 5 year waiting period and stick em right in Canton.

  • Miami players don't go to Canton, they go to San Quentin.

  • check out the 2001 miami hurricanes

  • ha..funny

  • 01' Miami allowed much less points than 95'Nebraska and Nebraska would run up the score a lot, but Miami I would say, even if they aren't considered the best college team ever, definitely has sent the most players who have gone onto NFL success of any of these mentioned teams.

Look: Andre Johnson, Clinton Portis, Roscoe Parrish, Jeremy Shockey, Kellen Winslow, Najeh Davenport, Frank Gore, Philip Buchanon, Jonothan Vilma, William Joseph, Vince Wilfork, Ed Reed, Sean Taylor [RIP]

  • ACtually, Nebraska running up the score is about the farthest from the truth. Family Season ticket holder for 40+ years been to probably 100 games in Lincoln. T.O. got 2nd and 3rd teamers in all the time to avoid injuries and build depth. Also, HOW THE HELL CAN A RUN BASED TEAM EVER BE CONSIDERED OR ACCUSED OF RUNNING UP THE SCORE? You think the RB should just take a knee, or fall down or run out of bounds when games get out of hand? As an athlete that would be an even BIGGER BITCH SLAP!

  • Look: 95 Offense L. Phillips, A. Green, J. Mackovicka, S. Jackson, A Graham, C. Dishman, A. Taylor, A. Treu adn could include Frazier if not for bloodclot issue and Berringer if not for death RIP.

95 D Wistrom, Peter x 2, Tomich, Rucker, Foreman, Coleman, Minter, Veland, Williams x 2, Booker, Stokes, Warfield, Wiltz, and PK K. Brown Talent diff between 01 NU and 95 NU was huge! 01 Nu had maybe 7 guys play in NFL

  • Yeah and all those players you named with the exception of Ahman Green were NFL busts.

How about 2001 Hurricanes: Andre Johnson, Jeremy Shockey, Roscoe Parrish, Clinton Portis, Frank Gore, Najeh Davenport, Kellen Winslow Jr, Bryant Mckinnie

D: Vince Wilfork, Sean Taylor, Ed Reed, Jonothan Vilma, Antrel Rolle, Philip Buchanon

And these are only the big name players...

  • Dude, before you open your mouth again go do some research or homework. Each and every guy a bust other than Ahman. WTF? L. Phillips, yes a bust for Rams but doesnt take away from his ability. Great athlete just an idiot. Now for the others.

    J. Mack 4 yr starter at FB for Cards

    S. Jackson TE starter with Bills

    A. Graham C 6-7 yr starter with Cards and Titans

    C. Dishman G 4 yr starter with Cards

    A. Taylor C Raiders starter couple years

    A. Treu C start w/ Raiders 5 yr and SB agaisnt Bucs.

  • Other players around 2001, before and after Reggie Wayne- Leader of the NFL in receiving yards and world champion who scored in Super Bowl Ray Lewis- Super Bowl 35 MVP Warren Sapp- World Champion D End and future HOF Ottis Anderson- Super Bowl MVP Do you have a player on every Super Bowl champion team every year? 2007- Jeremy Shockey, Sinorice Moss 2006- Reggie Wayne 2005- Bryant Mckinnie 2004- Vince Wilfork 2003- Vince Wilfork 2002- Warren Sapp, Philip Buchanon All day
  • FUCK YOU DUDE! You said that everyone was a bust otehr than GREEN! You fucking piece of trash dont back track on your comment now! most of these guys were long term starters you worthless FUCK! Since when is a long time starter considered to be a bust in anyway?! You are a worthless typical Miami fan. I know all about Miami NFL players you FUCK! I dont need you to educate me! 95 Skers would destroy 01 canes! 01

  • And a typical Nebraska fan to say fuck every three words because that, besides corn, is the only word they know.

Don't even dream everyone I know who has some knowledge of college football says 01 Miami is the greatest ever.

Brett Romberg- NFL Center for the Rams and never allowed a sack in his college career

Jerome McDougle- NFL D End for the Eagles and a Super Bowl starter

    D. J. Williams- NFL Linebacker for the Broncos and last year was 2nd in the NFL in tackles

  • Since when does any NFL team keep "non-contributors" on the roster dumbass? Adn these non contributors that so happened to have started for 10 fucking YEARS! fuck you douch bag!

You are a two faced bag of shit! You called them all a "bust" but now that I proved otehr wise oh noe they arent big enough stars. 01 VT runs a very similar power game that Nebraska does with far less superior athletes than 95 Skers and ran it down Miamis throat. 39 for 167 over 4+ yards a carry!

  • Learn to spell idiot it's douche and ok so you have a 10 year starter who hasn't done anything to be known in a decade? Congrats?

Wistrom had talent, yet he also was just there because the Rams had two great D tackles in Demarco Farr and Kevin Carter.

  • Typical CRYAMI fan changing tune and stories to fit your arguement. First, it was every player from 95 Skers that made it to NFL was a complete bust OTHER THAN A. Green. Then after I challenge you and prove you wrong, it becomes "Well, they werent big enough stars" You dont know your ASS from a HOLE in the ground! Pick a side and stick to it! Oh and how did 01 BC a team with minimal future NFL talent on D manage to hold all those high picks, and AA to ONE offensive td!LMFAO ONE TD ONE TD! ONE!

  • And a typical Nebraska dumbshit who doesn't know his dick from a pencil. You really don't get the NFL do you? I said Nebraska had nobody besides A Green that had NFL success and you stated a bunch of players who just filled roster spots. Ok so we didn't have to run up the score on Boston College does it not count as a win?

Still, who allowed less points on defense? Miami

  • First of all you dipshit. Rosters fillers are special teams guys, guys that arent regular contributors. Guys that don't know if they are on the regualr roster or the practice squad from week to week. 10 yr starters roster fillers! Typical arrogant Miami fan, trying to minimize accomplishments of others to make self look better. NFL is big freaking business, they arent going to put any guy on the field for 10 straight years that doesnt give them the best chance to win?

  • NFL is turning into a joke and you realize that in the NFL that if players know the system and can play well with other players, they get to stay there, but you wouldn't know that cause you keep beating off to a team that hasn't been good for 13 years. Get over it you were good in 1995 and you suck now. Don't try and even keep telling me your 3 good players are better than Miami's uncounted amount of NFL players.

  • oh my goodness. Now, the NFL IS A JOKE because some 95 Skers players have had some success, LOTS MORE THAN 3 DIPSHIT. WoW! I cant believe you said that. That is about the most ridiculous thing I have heard. First, in your opinion all 95 Skers players in NFL were "busts", then they werent big enough stars or didnt get enough notiriety, now its that the NFL IS A JOKE!!? WoW! I am just done with you. It's nearly impossible to reason with that sort of "logic" and thats being kind. Dude, LAME!

  • Ok I have proved many points to you dude and obviously the NFL is a joke because it is becoming a commercial and can you honestly say the game is still the game or is it now more for the money? God that is the most obvious thing. I mean players getting suspended, players holding out, owners making these new, uneccesary stadiums. And usually when a player starts, that doesn't make him good. HA

Yeah I started in peewee football but that didn't make me a good player in the NFL.

  • Honestly, I will be the bigger man, well only man here and say that we will never be able to know who wins in a game between Nebraska 95' and Miami 01' yet both teams had different stats and we could compare talent all day, but the fact is Miami has more NFL stars and players there today, while Nebraska has NFL players there, not accomplishing much though other than Grant Wistrom and Ahman Green because I have not seen one fimilar player you named and remember him doing much NFL wise.

  • So, if guys like Wistrom, Rucker and Minter are so called "roster fillers' why didnt someone come along at some point during those 10 yr careers and TAKE THEIR starting jobs?! You STUPID PIECE OF SHIT! I dont care who you THINK YOU are! NFL teams put players on the field to win! Funny that these so called roster fillers and otehr multi year starters from 95 Skers could never be beat out of their position? You are a complete and utter moron!

  • You keep insulting and showiny you can't keep your cool, but some teams like the Panthers find players who learn how to produce like the Panthers and Wistrom isn't exactly the greatest but he is a player who learned the system and fit in with a winning team.

Wow do you not get any of my points here? Oh wait you wouldn't cause your to dumb yourself to know in the NFL that players who are on teams that are good don't neccesarily make them good.

  • I know all about Miami NFL players, but clearly you are uninformed and to stupid to do some research before opening your trap.

    G. Wistrom DE 10 yr starter w/ Rams and Seahawks

    J. Peter DT 3 yr starter w/ Panthers and if not for serious neck and back injuries would still be playing. C. Peter DT 7 yr career as starter and back up with Giants and Bears.

    M. Rucker DE 10 yr starter with Panthers

    J. Tomich 3-4 yr starter w/ Saints and Packers. Im just getting started. Thats just D line!

  • Grant Wistrom is good, but seriously do you consider those other players to be big NFL stars? I was just getting started with all of Miami's big name players and don't forget the players that came the next year from Miami like i'm not sure... DEVIN HESTER?

Laqrence Philips was good in college, yet he didn't have good enough speed.

  • Oh, you FUCK! tell me somnething! How are guys like Minter and Rucker 10 yr starters in NFL a BUST?

Cont. E. Warfield CB 6-7 yr starter with Chiefs

    M. Booker 2 -3 yr starter with Falcons

One year in late 90's I think 98 or 99 the Panthers had 5 starters on their defense that were regular players on 95 team. DL Rucker, Peter, LB Hesse, DB Veland and Minter. Dont disrepect me and the 95 skers you worhtless piece of trash! BUST? MY FREAKING ASS! Im DONE WITH YOU! ITS OVER LOSER

  • Oh, now its not that EVERY 95 Skers player OTHER THAN Ahman was complete "bust" in the NFL as YOU STATED, now its that their "star" power at least according to you is minimal. Stick with your original comment you cockroach. Two faced, lying idiotic fuck!

  • What the fuck? Ok just making it to the NFL doesn't make you a big, highly known player you dumbass and have these players even been mentioned to have an impact other than just fitting the roster spot? NOPE

There are players who go to the NFL for over 10 years and are called "busts" which in the NFL means they have minimal impact on teams, but are there and are on the team.

Miami players are well known in the NFL unlike Nebraska players and good job keeping your cool.

  • A 10 yr starter in NFL is never a bust you fuck! Stop trying to make your comments seem logical. Who says or where is it written anywhere that a 10 yr STARTER can be consdired a "bust" Oh because you say it, I see. 95 NU would destroy the 01 Canes. 01 Vt a very avg 4 loss teams runs for over a 4+ per rush avg and not just on a min of carries. Over 40 carries! and 01 VT didnt have 95 Skers atheletes Did 01 VT put 4-5 o lineman, 3 rbs, a te and 2 Qbs in NFL. NOPE didnt think So!

  • Yes they can be you dumbass. Do you ever watch the NFL Network or even have it? There have been plenty of players who played for years and never were known as a good player, nor a contributor.

Yeah Miami's defense would crush your overrated running team. Miami's offense would destroy your defense because they are the players making up NFL offenses right now.

Nebraska never has come close to being as good as Miami and isn't that why we have beaten you in every big game we met you in?

  • 01 VT had one offensive lineman in that group J. Grove that has had any sort of NFL career.Mostly a backup. One RB L. Suggs run for 1200 yards in 5 yrs in NFl another RB drafted and released before season J. ferguson and you think 95 line with 4-5 future NFL starters is going to stuggle trucking that D. Miami D got trucked by a bunch of borderline NFL lineman. Then we got 3 NFL RB plus two NFL Qbs barring unforeseen circumstance and NFL TE. That all were NFL starters YES FUCK YOU YOU LOSE

  • Of Miami's 2001 opponents VT ran the offense most similar NU and actually very similar in power I pro set and the same power running plays. They had succes running on Miami's D and you think 95 Nu with far superior skill position athletes is going to have problems? MY ASS! ROFL YOu know what happens to that D. They get smashed, trucked and road graded by those future NFL starters. Then following line got 4 yr NFL starter at FB in J Mack. Hard to tackle players like Frazier, Green, LP on back!

  • So are you saying we don't have the defensive talent to stop you? Because if we stopped VT and they have a similar offense, I think we could stop your running backs. We had Safety speed players that could come up and make a big tackle in Sean Taylor and Ed Reed and I have seen them both run over players bigger than Laurence Philips and Ahman Green. Miami also knew how to handle quarterbacks with speed because Crouch was a heisman with speed and we killed him, also Mike Vick was shutdown.

  • Stop evading or talking around the subject dipshit. Anyone that knows football and I will give you the benefit of the doubt here knows that giving up avg of 4yds a carry is a problem. Thats not stopping the running game buddy. You know exactly whatIm sying. A much less talented offensive VT team HAD SUCCESS running the ball omn your 01 Canes. And what was this VT team missing that 95 NU had. Try 4-5 future NFL lineman as starters, 3 NFL RB starters. CASE CLOSED 95 O would smash those 01 CAnes D

  • Ok so what if they ran well didn't we still earn a win? How am I evading the question I answered all others and that is one game. As I recall, we still gave up less points that season then Nebraska and earned more shutouts and beat more ranked opponents. Ok so you had NFL Lineman and 3 running backs, all "thought" to be helpful players to a team but let me ask do we all remember anyone besides Green?

Answer my question: Did you ever have an o lineman allow no sacks in his career? NO

  • 4 yds per carry is not stopping anyone. Fr K. JOnes 23 for 156 Thats not stopping anyone. Giving up 4yds a carry to a far less talented VT indicates to me that 95 NU with NFL players up and down the O line and 3 NFL RB torch that defense. Remember 94 OB, two UM all time greats and future NFL HOF on their knees and gasping for air in 94 OB? They got destroyed and worn out! Thats what happens when cant stop the run, wears teams out. 1st and 10, 2nd and 6, 3rd and 2 then 1ST DOWN! over and over!

  • We didn't have a good last two seasons, yet we kept in winning form after 2001 and teams go through bad seasons, but Miami keeps making the NFL, starters or not, and they will rise again.

  • They also had receivers and tight ends with good depth who could run any route needed and Dorsey could throw any pass and have a receiver make the catch because they were so acrobatic.

  • How did Shockey do in the Super Bowl last year? Oh thats right he was hurt and he didn't play and the Giants still won without him. lmao, he must of been one of those roster fillers you've been talking about right.

  • Oh ok so he was hurt even though he had 57 catches leaving and was bound for the Pro Bowl and there were plenty good players around him, yet he still was a Pro Bowler years before and was known for a few years as the best in the NFL and proved to be a tough player in 2006 when he took a hit from 3 players without his helmet... and kept going!

  • Anyways, I believe we tried to work our differences out right? So don't try to drag it on and on cause it ended.

  • Oh, and you know what I forgot two LB in my earlier list. E. Johnson 7-8 with Raiders several as starter and special teams star. J. Hesse started for one year with Panthers then retired due to injury.

    J. Foreman LB with Bills, starter several years with Texans, now with Niners. D. Colman 4-5 yr player with Giants and Browns.

    M. Minter SS 10 yr starter with Panthers JUST RETIRED!

    T. Veland FS 2 yr starter with Panthers, Broncos

    T. Williams CB 6-7 yr starter w/ Packers

  • hey stupid fuck. Explain how a run based team "runs up the score" Especially one under Coach Osborne that substituted so liberally on offense and defense when games got out of hand. You know how those nebraska teams were so dominant? becasue they established depth and did so by getting younger players in the games. So, What would you have a 2nd or 3rd team RB do? Get the handoff go runa around and fall down or take a knee, not allow other team to tackle him? that would be an even bigger insult!

  • you're a freakin doosh bag. are u seriously sayin that Nebraska didn't have as much depth as Miami? wow, u r an idiot! ure talkin about how much depth Miami had at the running back position and all that crap. did u forget that the whole freakin Nebraska offense were running backs? shit, Tommie Frazier was a running back, and if u wanna talk about the position itself, we had some bad ass players. hmmm... let me c, last time i checked we had Lawrence Phillips and Ahman Green was a true freshman.

  • i will say this, the 01 Miami Hurricanes without a doubt had the best group of running backs in history, but Nebraska didnt just have running backs lining up behind the QB. Nebraska had running backs all over the place, from the RBs to the QB to the Recievers on the reverses. and either way its not about that. Nebraska was unstoppable even though they were a one-dimentional offense. they ran the ball all day and nobody could stop them.

  • thank you for that comment they were talented with rbs, but you cannot say miami didn't have any wideouts or tight ends because shockey has a super bowl ring and was an all american in 2001, kellen winslow, although stumbling, has been a pro bowl tight end and has the stats to show, kevin beard went to the arena league, but still produces and andre johnson is the leader in receptions and yards in the nfl, while dorsey is starting now and was an award winning, standout in 2001.

  • nebraska could run no doubt but miami could too and pass and the defense had their back allowing 117 season points. miami was spread in their system.

  • bottom line 95 NU comes out on top

  • Sorry I think 01 Miami comes out on top.

  • maybe if they were jacked up on some crack or somthing like yourself??

  • That didn't make any sense considering I don't smoke crack and you spelled something wrong.

I just want to let you know usually someone else commenting on how someone else smokes means they do and are in denial, but whatever i'm not here to argue, just back my team.

  • hey that's cool and everything, but how about you back your team on some Miami vid. u dont c me commenting on some 01 Miami Hurricane video do u? i wouldnt even try to see some other team's video when i could care less about them. all i care about is the Huskers baby! GO BIG RED! screw ever1 else! especially all those teams that are supposed to be considered the greatest team of all time along with the 95 Huskers. Nebraska hands down. screw the NFL. all the NFL is, is rich athletes complainin.

  • Uh i do dude but i commented on here a while back and someone responded and i commented back a few times, but i see people commenting on nebraska in 95 being better on miami vids

yeah to be honest i just come on here to see what some fans will say i mean its youtube who fucking cares? all i care about is miami

the best, hands down, the 80s dynasty and 2001 team being the most beast and just pointing out about the spelling chill

some are bad yeah but you say that because miami runs the nfl

  • 95 NU wud fukn murder 01 canes

  • Are you kidding? 95 Nebraska had a bunch of NFL busts and Miami's speed was far better than Nebraskas. I already proved my points, but I think 01 Miami would pwn 95 Nebraska.

  • who was voted best college football team of all time??????? oh thats right 95 NU.. who was voted best coach of all time???? oh thats right tom osbourne

  • who was voted best college football team of all time??????? oh thats right 95 NU.. who was voted best coach of all time???? oh thats right tom osbourne

    miami had more speed huh?

hmm NU had tommy frazier, ahman green, lawrence phillips, bobby newcome. 95 NU wud run all over 01 canes asses like nothin

shit 97 NU wud murder 01 canes like nothin

  • who voted them #1? tell me because i know plenty of anazlyzers and college football experts who say miami of 2001 blows everyone out of the water and the nfl status the players have proves it

johnson, portis, ed reed are some examples heard of them? who did nebraska have? ahman green, whose a scrub now for the texans and lost the talent he had and cory schlesinger, which i have no idea where he is and i could continue with miami's talent

ok? jimmy johnson has a national title and super bowl

  • haha look it up 95 NU was voted best college football team assembled . they even compared 95NU to 01 canes and won .. were not talkn about nfl staus were talkn college status .. we are talkn about what they did in college not nfl . 01 canes were a very great team but will never compare to what 9 NU did

nebraska won 3 national titles in 4 years agianst the other best teams in my book . actually shuda won 4 in 5 years.miami has never done that and never will

  • haha uh i did and i saw your link and that is one poll

i have seen other polls where miami beats out everyone and people have different opinions, but i have heard people from espn say "miami 01, no contest"

ok college status, they were still better

    dorsey 38-2 college starter/record setter/award winner/heisman nominee

how do they not compare? they allowed less points, beat more ranked teams and destroyed the heisman winner, and were always 1 in the polls, unlike95 nebraska

  • umm tommy fraizer was 33-3 as a starter

played in 3 national championships out of his 4 years as a started. all against top ranked Florida teams ; FSU 18-16, Miami 24-17, Florida 62-24

was a heisman runner up. shuda won it

  • Damn RIght! Miami 01, USC 05, and all those teams would've been dominated by the 95 Huskers.

  • ya nebraska played no close games that year average beating there oponent by 38 points a game what other team can say that?

  • 93 fsu? they were one missed fg away from losing to nebraska that year... 2004 usc was good, and so was miami, but don't forget that they both had hiccups, the huskers had no close games and they played 4 top ten teams

  • if it wasn't for wide left... we are talking about a 3 peat!

  • If it wasn't for crappy refs, we are talking about 3 peat.

  • nope 1993 fsu and 2004 USC were the best ever and even if i am an fsu fan 2000 Miami was one of the best and dont 4get 1996 or 97 Gators, their championship year i 4get which one it wuz

  • The Huskers offense averaged 52.4 points a game and also led the nation in rushing (399.8 yards per game). beat 4 teams that finished in the top 10 by an average score of 49-18, The Cornhuskers ranked No.1 in the nation in both rushing (399.8) and scoring (52.4) and No.2 in total offense (556.3).

  • Yeah what retard says duh to something like this? That little bitch must be from Colorado.

  • Don't say duh for the love of Christ...

Anybody who knows football and is capable of objectivity knows that this team was indisputably the greatest ever assembled in the history of college football. It's not even close. I heard that the Blackshirts killed about 8 guys that season. Seriously. And not in the Rae Carruth kind of way either.

  • DUH!!!!

  • The 1995 Nebraska Husker team was the greatest college football team the ever walked this earth!
