Well, if the guy who casts Libra on himself was telling the truth when he said he'd send back the lightning twice as strong, that would explain why someone ten levels higher would die when you didn't. The stronger your lightning, the harder you get hit in return. And that fight was a close call if I've ever seen one.

1:22 actually NCS this game originated the absorb HP. You need the cursed ring and a shield/Armor with en element for that to work. Final Fantasy V has a Undead armor (bone armor) that absorbs Bio.

Plague is a joke in the ds version because kain stays up in the air much longer and his timer doesn't go down while he's up there so you can just have him phoenix down everybody

POSSIBLE SPOILER So are you playing the version where you can't get Palom, Porom, Cid, Yang, and Edward or whatever his name is back and are able to fight with them and use their ultimate weapons? Because that happens in the GBA version and Palom has a 99 black magic stat and Porom has a 99 white magic stat and most characters have ultimate weapons.
