of course you realise that even though you try to block out your serial key...we can still see it if we turn off annotations or close that particular annotation. just saying..

@leanrio if you can find a version of wine for 10.04, otherwise, your going to have to downgrade to 8.10 (yes big jump, i know) and then upgrade back.

What if I have Ubuntu 9.04- the Jaunty Jackalope? There is no Wine under 16 to install-just 18-27... And if I install, for example, Wine 1.1.14 i386 from Ubuntu Intrepid (8.10) it doesn't work... (there is an error when I click on 'open with wine windows program loader') :(( helpppppp

if you go on that website with all the .deb files, you will notice that there aren't any for wine version 1.1.16 or under. so that won't work. I'm not sure if they have a .tar file for that though

Vista and its newer products use unique keys, and from personal experience there is only one key that works for each one. It doesn't really matter if you know his key, you can't use it unless you have his copy.

Actually, thats not really necessary. There is a unique key for each cd. Unless i make an .iso and put it on the internet, people can't use it no matter what.

Buddy U are completely wrong I can tell U that.

1)Install the MS office without a Key first.

2) After the installation is complete open word or xl.

3) IT will Prompt for a key, thn U can enter any valid key.

4) Try it if u want, I am 100% sure about it.

??? are you using like a pirated version or something? i bought the cd from staples and as you can see, i didn't do what you said. Thats how the installation has been for me and with most other people. or it might be which version of ms office you have. i have home and student.

Hi, I am a Student, I have a Genuine Copy of MS office. and it is Home Student 2007 Version copy. I got the DVD for a Student Discount.

I think it is always better to safegaurd ur Key since you can do only a limited number of Installations (Think 5 am not sure).

Interesting 'coz in My System I have Installed MS Office like some 5 times r more but offlately I'm unable 2 Install on my Windows Virtual machine(On Ubuntu Host),.. throws an error while registering Online stating Only a Limited number of Installs r possible.
