Difference between the HSV Clubsport R8, and the CSV CR8, is the interior and the Front headlights.

In the CSV CR8, u get the exact middle bit (radio controls and screen) as the VE SS, and u dnt get Projector Headlamps like in a VE SS-V or HSV E-series.

With the HSV R8 u get a different center bit for the radio with a screen and dual zone climate etc. and projector headlamps. & The option of red interior with dual coloured dashboard

I highly doubt he bought the car from australia and imported it there himself, if you look carefully the car is a left hand drive where as you'd know our aussie ones here are right hand drive, it could be that holden has its own dealership over in the UAE and he's bought it from there.
