Sorry, but its' not!
- it's just similar (like cars are similar, bikes are similar...)
- it's much cheaper
- it's open source
You can find old projects on the web dated years before Segway, but they'r not commercialised and sophisticated like Segway.

This was all so difficult and cutting-edge 5 years ago! I can't believe the technology has improved to the point where such complex functions (speediness as well as power handling!) are now available off the shelf. Boy is it cool though!
