I´ve been a rhcp fan for about 20 years, been in many concerts and even one time years ago I had the chance of meeting those guys on a backstage..... when I heard that Frusciante was gone it was a dejavoo  from the 90´s. :( Bad Thing... I still dont like it, I dont like this Clinghoffer guy or whatever his name is, I dont like what Frusciante is producing rigth now, but, hes just a man following his wishes and doing what he wants, hes free to do it, so... Im happy for him :)

As for him being a failed musician, he has put out Ten albums, all of them different from the others, with original, thought provoking philosophical lyrics, ever-changing yet ever-tasteful production techniques, and beautiful progressions and melodies. That doesn't even do his work justice, but I'd say it doesn't sound the like the work of a failed musician. And it's not something I can say about the Peppers.

Look, after To Record Only Water For Ten Days, (which was recorded on digital) he became a huge audiophile and started to record on tape, accepting only the best quality. And plus, Untitled 4 was recorded 17 years before this video, and even then the quality of John's guitar is MUCH better than this video. This video is clipping to the extreme and sounds like it was recorded by an amateur.
