Check out that band and the song: Undiscovered Land (live version), and also ARCANA. Ailyn at Sirenia is overlooked too. That backup she did for SERENITY; The Chevalier is great.

Jillian at Within Temptation doesnt have the strongest voice......its working for them. Everybody cant be a Tarja Turunen or Simone Simons. I still give this band and song a solid B. Its different enough to sound individual and not a Tarja/Simone mimick. Given time this girls voice will mature and she will get better.I said that about Floor Jansen 10 years ago when EVERYONE WAS SAYING HER VOICE WAS WEAK. Listen to her now. Unfortunately, most tune heads only know her by her character name from Black Symphony so I start with that.Everyone else knows.I think a little voice coaching would be a big help to her because she has a good voice but shes not always in control of it.I dont think she had the voice schooling that Tarja or Simone had. I still like her and that band.They were early into the symphonic metal scene (1996) which predates Nightwish and Edenbridge by almost 2 full years.

Wonderful, epic and heavy altogether. Some of the best symphonic stuff I've heard in years. The guitar-sound is a bit too grungy, but otherwise this band can easily compete with the international big shots.
