I'm wondering if you also knew Peter Sellers, my idol. Have you ever met him? Obviously, he was already dead when Group Madness was made. But did you meet him?
There's been some other UK character actors in Yellowbeard like Beryl Reid whose done appearances in many shows, but there's also Ronald Lacey, who I've seen in a lot of UK action shows and comedies playing the baddie, but is best known for the Gestapo officer in Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Nigel Stock who also has been in many UK action shows and is also known for playing Dr. Watson to Sherlock Holmes.
The strangest in Yellowbeard casting must be Nigel Planer as Mansell since a lot of the comics casted in the movie are traditional comics from the 60's and 70's, and Nigel Planer is one of the big 80's UK alternative comedy performers (best known also as hippie Neil from the first 80's UK alternative comedy sitcom The Young Ones.) Maybe you should do tributes to Nigel Planer, John Cleese, the late Michael Hordern and the late Madeline Kahn.
Those are all in the works. Thanks for your comment. Of course Nigel became famous later as you say. I loved him in "The Young Ones". I dated Madeline but that's another story.
Spike Milligan requested the following epitaph upon his headstone: "I told you I was ill." The church refused to allow it.

@CoyoteBuddy it is on his headstone. But it had to be written in gaelic.

Spike Milligan to me was the "fountain" that all British comedians from the 1950s onward draw from.

Funny how Milligan kept getting into bad pirate takeoffs.

I'm surprised you never bumped into John Cleese since he now lives in California.

As far as I know, Michael Hordern has done voiceovers and is best known for doing the voicing on the Paddington Bear kids shorts if that helps.
