Do any freddie & the dreamers fans know the ; Sally Ann', dance, seen in the film starring joe brown, marty wylde...' what a crazy world were living in
the host...thats the biggest joke...but freddie in bad health got him with the Everly brothers the 'so called host'......hook, line ...sinker host0 freddie 10
Sad to see Freddie looking so ill,he never took himself seriously, and I think he would be happy if his epitaph was "He made us all laugh".Freddie and his Dreamers can proudly take their place in being part of what made the 60's so special.
The blonde guitarist, Derick Quinn is my cousin. So sad that Freddie passed away. He was unique, sold one million records with 'you were made for me' (I think it was that track). Fabulous group that gave us quality music and much laughter. RIP Freddie, RIP Freddie and the Dreamers.
I remember playing I'm telling you now in the band I was in what a great song. Freddie you gave great joy to music thank you, I never got Talk to you, but I know you were a great man keep singing in heaven RIP
R.I.P. Freddy it is hard for me just to know you are not here among Us. any longer the time it went to fast I used to have a good time just to listening Freddie & the dreamers it was a lot a fun and happy time true WABC radio station of N.Y. city. thank you !.
@symphonythree I believe he was too ill to attend the funeral of Dreamers' drummer Bernie Dwyer in 2002 so sadly it seems he was plagued by health problems for at least the last four or five years of his life. From this clip though, it seems he never lost his sense of humour or down to earth manner.
I think one of Freddie's last American appearances was on "Dear John," starring Judd Hirsch as a divorced professor in a wacky support group. Freddie appeared as himself doing "I'm telling you now." Didn't realize how long ago that was. Not as gray and less on the waist.
RIP Freddie..what a legend with a great voice, loved all your songs..as does my father..you will forever be remembered for all the happiness you bought through your wonderful songs forever! xxx
@rubberdildos I'm from Australia and I'm so glad I was old/young enough to appreciate the music of Freddy( and his contempories) which were so much better than some of today's junk.
I'm so sorry, I never even knew Freddie Garrity had died, and it came as quite a shock tonight. I'd almost forgotten how wonderful his jolly songs were, that's why I was looking for his songs to cheer me up tonighty. A truly great entertainer indeed. RIP Freddie...
he`s telling you now?
