I have no fu’king idea where the ignorant “get her number quickly and pull out” myth came from except, maybe, from guys really to chicken to immediately take things further – particularly when there’s chemistry there? Those “number guys” aren’t true players – they’re diddlers. So you can instead ask her out for a coffee, or whatever, on the spot and certainly try to spend as much time as you can with her.

However, I would advise against spending too much time with any one woman unless you are on a sure-fire winner. The worst you can do is labour for half the night over a phone number. It's always good to get the EMAIL or phone number in 3 MINUTES OR LESS, because 1. The less you say, the less chance of you saying something stupid, so get straight to the point and make it quick. 2. Talk too much now, then there will be nothing to talk about during the get together (notice how I didn't say over the phone!!!) that you will request once you call her and spend less than three minutes on the phone discussing it. I think those two reasons are good enough for now.

A strong foundation of shared ideas between both parties the man and woman will go much further then just the thought of going out with a perfect stranger they know nothing about.
