  • the only thing shocking about this vid is the $4 price of the NY Times

  • If China keeps messing around with her neighbors, they'll soon be eating rice with their bare hands. WE made China. WE decide China's fate. Our debt to China? Our debt to China can be wiped out in a second. Don't worry. We are the world's superpower for a reason. If you don't behave, we'll fuck shit up. We are down now but not out. We could be a bankrupt nation with people standing in sup lines all over and still fuck shit up in the world. We did it and will do it again. Don't worry

  • @jmwwd Reading the tripe you post makes me glad you and no one like you will EVER have their finger on the button, what simplistic, childish world view. My 11 year old shows more maturity. Grow up, get off the Xbox Box, shut off your computer and go read until your eyes get bleary, then do it again and again, until you're finally over your small penis issues and can join in an ADULT converstaion

  • @davidb1959 I don't play games. If you only knew who you are talking to, asswipe. So you write "finally over your small penis issues" after calling others immature? Two words for you, "Freudian Projection". Grow a fucking brain. Educate yourself on the issue. I can tell I hit home hard. That's reality.

  • It means, this is nice video for edutainment but don't go hitting the wife over this now depressed. Keep chipping at your goals and don't worry too much at this type of crap. Disconnect yourself from the news. We are the most powerful country in the world for a reason and nothing is going to change that. China won't go anywhere. They can ONLY until WE let them. WE can put and end to China's luck in 24 hours with a simple decision. The world's factories are already exiting CN for VietNam.

  • honor kids, lol... They guess what 5+5 is = engineers degree in india

  • Amazing video.

  • And what does this all mean? We're screwed.

  • and? response?

  • A super computer will be built that exceeds the computational capabilities of the brain? I call bullshit.

  • say no to immigration.

  • @benlorenc

What a great answer, not yes to education but no to thew challenge

    You were a d student weren't you

  • @davidb1959 no, i get 80's actually, but i dislike immigration because they come here and vote for the politicians who enact draconian policies such as the conservative government of canada. that and soon they'll start importing jobs for cheap labour, just wait. immigration is okay but they gotta be more politically and socially adept and not vote for such terrible futures for my children.

  • Worst video ever.

  • if myspace were a country it would be the worlds most depressing and boring country

  • You know whats even more mind blowing, most teenagers these days look up to highschool drop out rapers that talk about how awesome drugs are and how they beat up "bitches". You can't fix stupid, no matter how much information is out there. Whatever, the more of them that OD the more job openings for me.

  • Information is Not knowledge.

    Knowledge is Not wisdom.

Wisdom is lost to the human race.

  • @robertedwardfay

Wisdom survives the buffeting of time. I, for one, have hope in the human race, that even as they are consumed by information and technological power, those who seek wisdom, will find it. God help us all.

  • @lordmahan11 Thank you, Lord Mahan. Let us hope that the recognition alone, that Information is not Knowledge, and that knowledge is not Wisdom, will help.

As an aside, you may like this: neptunianhorizon (dot) com/music/

  • if facebook were a country, it would rule the world by now. suck on that, myspace

  • In sixth grade

  • I watched this in math class

  • PROPAGANDA ALERT: MISLEADING INFO EVERYWHERE

25% of India's Highest IQs = 25% INDIANS. It's calculating 25% of indians. OF COURSE there will be more, they have 5 times the population of the USA.

India has more honor kids because they have more people, not because they are necessarily smarter.

Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter bring the world together without borders. Not a bad thing.

  • @Pwadyal1 obviously.. it was addressing the overpopulation problem not the iq problem lol

  • So does this mean that this is outdated also?

  • Did you know? Throughout this video all I could think is that this is a fucking awesome song.

  • CIRULLI IS A FLY LIKE A G6

  • ...People still use Myspace?

  • India has more honors kids than America has kids, Honors in what? Incomplete sentences will not prove your intelligence, obviously its going to take a lot more time to become smarter than the rest of the world.

  • @TheNineveh But it's not an incomplete sentence...

  • @FallenG0d no offence but you did not place a pronoun to say that [India has more honor role students than America has children.]

  • @TheNineveh Yes I did - I used 'it'. Sorry if I sound rude, but I had to point it out.

  • @FallenG0d ok my bad, srry.

  • song is right here, right now by fatboy slim

  • If the video was posted in 2008, how come it mentions things from 2010?

  • @matthiasvegh O_o

    1. Arent computers smarter than us already? I could never do those billion computations per second. I can hardly do an algebra problem in a minute!

    2. Myspace. LMAO. It's probobly like, Lichtenstein now. :D

  • If myspace were a country, it would have suffered economic crash and exodus. Oh wait it still did anyway...

  • Does anyone know the track in the background? i mean i totally get the message, and its amazing. but i guess i could be one of the 649,000 in 5 minutes....wait that was 2008 its probably a million by now.

  • can someone tell me what expotential times means?

  • @GiveMeMyWhammy lol go to google

  • @GiveMeMyWhammy exponential means a steady increase of percent. scientifically. our population is increasing exponentially at a rate of 1.22%....doesn't seem like alot. but every 12-13 years we add another billion to this planet.

  • Yup, sad to say this, but America is being outclassed and out educated by most other nations...Our only (and VERY sad) success point? We can out militarize the rest of the world...sad sad sad sad sad sad...

  • wow 694000 songs downloaded. and there are 700+ million users on Facebook. how do the rest of the people get their songs?

  • Lol. Google doesn't even look like that anymore. My Space? Seriously? Including the statistics, about the only thing current about about this video is the comments section right here. Nice music, though.

  • @oOowordgirloOo um yes haha, the video is 2 years old :P that was kinda the point of the video, that we live in EXPONENTIAL times. soo it would have been awkward if the video WASN'T outdated :P

  • @OdetteAndOdile People used MySpace two years ago?

  • @oOowordgirloOo yeah its not current but its exponential, guess where its at now...do the research. haha i know i dont want to.

  • love how they ended with the illegal songs statistic :D who was torrenting during the video... be honest! i know i was.

  • Did You Know? Most college students will be forced to watch this in class at least once during their college career while their professor acts like this is supposed to be blowing their minds.

  • @jcnava15 it did and will continue exponentially. i assume your an english major. or buisness

  • @jcnava15 I watched this in seventh grade. lmfao

  • @jcnava15 haa brilliant comment

  • have these guys not seen Terminator?

  • the 1900s were right computers, A.I.s, digital communication and everything else is taking over the world. man! damn you moore's law lol ( 4 d record i have little understanding of moore's law)

  • Years it took to reach a market audience of 50 million

Google+ (sure) less than 1 year (36 Million yet today!)

  • facebook would be the 3rd most populous country these days

  • Hahaha the myspace one is funny, because nobody uses Myspace anymore! They didn't predict that Myspace would crash and burn and Facebook become number oneee(:

  • haha myspace

  • Comment removed

  • Odd it didn't suggest that in three years, Myspace would be a joke.

  • They'll have a supercomputer that will exceed a human brain's computational ability by 2013? Most people say 2030, though it doesn't surprise me the slightest as things have been advancing faster than predicted.

Regardless, what kind of computer will this be if I may ask? Will this be a quantum computer?

  • @KJLesnick We're nowhere near a quantum computer. That won't even become a necessary consideration until we start running into problems on the scale of Plank units.

  • @TheDrCN

Actually there has been some research in this area. At least one quantum computer has been conceived that uses 128 qubits

  • They need to update this video.

  • 133 people are out of date college students

  • It means that someone has to go back and protect Sarah Connor

  • It says that the "top 10 in-demand jobs in 2010 ... did not exist in 2004" but the video was uploaded in 2008.

  • @MargerineWalk Damn you! I was just about to post that! LOL

  • @MargerineWalk based on prediction im guessing

  • Myspace? Are you Fucking kidding me... This video if anything is a testament to their redundant emphasis that we are evolving.

  • This is the dumbest shit I've ever seen.

  • the smartest quarter of india is more than the total population of the U.S. big fucking deal. That means absolutely nothing. "India has more honors kids than America has kids". Who says that there honor kids are smarter than our honor kids. Numbers don't mean a fucking thing. "The top ten jobs in demand in 2010 did not exist in 2004" Well first off this video was post in 2008, so they have no fucking clue what they are talking about.

  • Stupid as fuck, Why did they feel the need to spend 4 minutes elaborating something that can be summed up in one word "Evolution". No shit that we are getting smarter and smarter, and that technology and pretty much everything is evolving at an exponential rate. Once you make more of something you will have more things to innovate with then you did in the first place therefore creating more stuff than before and so on so forth. This is a video that 1st graders might enjoy.

  • this video is so true... just by the fact that it looks so old lol...

  • Does this really need a citation? anyone over the age of 20 should have no problem verifying most of this by memory. Go play an old videogame. Then go play a new one. Think about how much more information your gaming device can handle now. We're talking about thousands upon thousands of times more computing power. I suspect that much of the skepticism this video has received is fueled by fear.

  • i would be a little skeptical of this. no one is telling you where they are getting the facts

  • Ironically, already out of date.

  • and yet noone thinks to question where the info is from

  • MIND. BLOWN.

  • Holy fuck, I remember my planning teacher in grade nine showed up this video, and I was thinking about it yesterday (3 years later), and StumbleUpon takes me to it. FUCKED UP.

  • Did you really take a song from big fat liar and put it on here??

  • [CITATION NEEDED]

  • Hahaha...myspace was still a thing when this video was made.

  • lol myspace lol

  • @DUBLH15 haha, I've been having a not so great day and that comment made me lol

  • @rarelyserious It's actually pointing out that the population of India is more than four times that of the US, not making any real pertinent comparison regarding IQ or intelligence. The reference to IQ is erroneous and misleading.

  • there are so many of these videos using the same music, its like who gives a shit?

  • @phantomlord81692 i agree, pretty much all of the information in this video is completely worthless

  • this is already outdated.

  • We watched this in our school assembly

  • What are the sources for the statistics in this video? Such as 25% of India's population has higher IQ than all of the US. Has all India actually been tested? Even 10% of India?

  • @rarelyserious You are reading the stats incorrectly. It's a comparison of population, not IQ. Basically it's just saying that India has a bit more than 4x the population of the US, ergo if you were to take the top 25% of the country it would still outnumber the entire US. Of course if you took the lowest 25% of the country, it would ALSO outnumber the entire US, so one could equally say there are more remedial students in India than kids in the US. All in how you frame the statement.

  • i just illegally dowloaded the backround music

  • @jmperez920 made me lolirl

  • @jmperez920 me tooo

  • Only 649,000 songs?

  • what? i don't even ....

  • 4:05 -- SKYNET!!

  • 200 million users on Myspace? Yeah, outdated.

  • make that 640,00 and 1 songs were illegally downloaded HAHA

  • the time it takes for this video to reach 50 million views... NEVER MWUAHAHAHA

  • i'd love to see an up2date version of this

  • How many women were whores in 1908 vs 2008? Where's that statistic?

  • @MisterAaronRodriguez

Too many to count in 2008

  • worst song selection i've ever incountered

  • so if India has more honor's kids than America has kids, where the fuck are all the little Indian geniuses at to solve the world's problems, get those little dudes on this shit pronto

  • @charlesdarwin321 you have no idea how the world works right? They are going to school to work for some one (ie be slaves). their slavemaster will not ask them to change the slave/master situation he will get them to design toys for you to consume. That is all they are going to school for.

  • @TheOriginalEntz

maybe you don't know how the world works, you better call Microsoft and ask for technical help, one of those little geniuses will be able to assist you

  • yes,yes i did

  • What is this Myspace they speak of?

  • this video is already 3 years old

  • Numbers rushing at you really fast! Be afraid of the internet! IN OTHER NEWS, EVOLUTION IS A THING.

  • What does this mean anyway?

  • I wanna play WoW on a computer that can exceed the computational abilities of the human race as a whole!!!

  • lol, this is 3 years later...

  • This is fairly average for 6 Billion people in my opinion. Unimpressed.

  • @AndrewFilmsInc 7 Billion. But only a small percent has access to modern technolgy.

  • we all have to band together and make the unlimited power pill named after palpatine to get eternal health then we can enjoy the future with the kids!

  • LOL Myspace....

  • Very positive. Nothing is more powerful than information. Don't worry about being trained for something that will be soon obsolete. You can use your skills to adapt. Believe me, I have been programming for 35 yeas and am very up to date. It doesn't run away from you, you take it and run. The young generations have a wonderful future to look forward to.

  • Maybe this exponential race is something like "matter whirling faster and faster in the accretion disk before falling into the black hole" :P

  • What's the song?

  • mind blown

  • This has got to be the most irritating song.

  • whos idea was it to put this fucking music in the video

  • EPIC

  • This is some scary stuff when you think about it. It frightens me to think how fast everything is changing.

  • WE GON DAI.

  • my brain is obsolete

  • what does it all mean? well, let me explain this way: place a bowl of spaghetti sauce in your microwave and set it on high for 10 minutes.

  • It means we're all going to become robots

  • wtf is a exabyte?

  • @MessinWithTexasBand (1.0X10^19)

  • @herds789 "bytes"

  • WOW! About the human capabilities thing, not really. Computers can't. We have something so special computers cant have, two things! Reply to me what they are, winner gets a sub, good comment on all their vids, comment on channel, and more.

  • @UpForDanceroid 1.) a soul 2.) Jesus?

  • gud vid

  • If really my PC got in my mind i would be happy my whole life LMAO.

  • 1:25 Haha... myspace.

  • In my reality the computers that we have now do just fine out thinking the humans we have on the planet who watch reality tv and shop. just saying... lol

  • i think this video is pretty good and took lots of time to put together but thats my opinion

  • Being smart isn't enough. You have to be wise, too. This video is not wise, it's scary, because it assumes only a narrow field of methods for winning, and it assumes that winning is all that matters--and it does it in a way that gets everybody's heart rate up, even mine. Waste of a good song.

  • Did you know I dont really give a shit. Its propaganda

  • If you take 'computational capabilities' as 'intelligence' then by about 2013 we'll have an intelligent computer. Isn't the world supposed to end near the end of 2012? :O

    (lol just joking)

  • i was patiently waiting for the ending to say "did you know only 3% (or something) of this information is facts"

    :l

  • If a catastrophic event rendered just a handful of people left on a large island. We would collectively know how a combustible engine works along with many modern things. It would still take hundreds of years to build the car again. We would have to learn to mine for metals, building tools to precise calibrations would take a long time even. Just think about it. We never learn to save our knowledge. Jesus saved so should we!..

  • I was linked to this video as an argument that technology will soon solve human sufferance and resource depletion. But despite wishful thinking, the problems of polluted environments and species extinction aren't going away and I think it is obvious that those issues are related to human well-being.

  • This was extremely stimulating...I love stuff like this.

  • i wish there was an option beside the like/dislike bar that gave peoples reasoning for disliking things such as this because it baffles me and I can't figure out why they would.

  • @bb0888 They who produce this want to scare you. Propaganda, instill fear, but it looks like there are great possibilities for new industries...given the rapid rates of change.

  • @O2streaming Scare you my ass, there giving us a heads up of how awesome the future is going to be =]

  • talk about being over-dramatic

  • The only problem I have with the vid is the bit about a computer's computational ability because a computer is only as smart as the engineers who designed it.

  • @lockdown260

Computational ability =/= intelligence. It is very plausible that a computer will be able to perform better than a human brain. What's not plausible is said computer gaining intelligence. I hope we're smart enough as a species to not ever let that happen.

  • @Birdirdird Asimo is a pretty good step in that direction. It can "learn" and stuff. Which is impressive in my opinion.

  • @Birdirdird They're trying to do it now, lol.

  • Swimming in Moore's Law

  • Exponencialmente very sugoi! ;-)

  • Means you need to pause, take a deep breath and figure out what to do with what you made BY NOW, not what you'll make FROM NOW. Instead of making quantitative progress we ought to focus on quality more. 1 billion people is nothing, 10 atom bombs can wipe them of the face of the earth. Learn how to use technology for the good of the species instead of control and destruction. Until we get that we won't move from this rock any time soon.

  • It maens we're screwed.

  • BRING ON THE SINGULARITY!!!

  • is there a video like this thats more up to date like 2010 or 2011 ????

  • no, i didn't no!! :O

  • 2049 computer = Skynet. Terminator fans will understand this.

  • I love this song lol. Video too, would like a newer using the same song to truly show what they mean by exponential;3

  • wow i saw thiis in school last month lol intence huh

  • MY MIND IS SO FULL OF intriguing information

  • Some scientists predict that in within 30 to 50 years nano technology will possibly make humans practically immortal. Immortal because our minds could supposedly be backed u, all of our tissue, organs, limbs, and blood regenerated. If you could back up one's mind, someone could even be shot in the heart and regenerate, assuming the bots can restart the heart and restore the brain to full capacity. The only way to kill a person would be to incinerate them. This is a good reason to stick around eh

  • 500,000 of those songs were downloaded by me

  • cool video, makes you think... but how did they know what the top 10 in-demand jobs were in 2010 if this video was posted in 2008

  • cool video, makes you think... but how did they know what the top 10 in-demand jobs were in 2010 if this video was posted in 2008
