its not tax fat people.........its taxing the fatty foods. Not taxing the producers because those are job producers as well. All junk food should come with higher tax. Basically anyone who buys junk food will just pay a higher price than now. Like 7 cents more. If we charge 1 penny of tax, it will generate more than 3.5 million year. We can do a lot with that money.
Junk food is bad for evryones health! Not just the fat people.
@samaigonzale22 What about the people who eat fatty foods but have high metabolisms and exercise and are healthy individuals? Should they pay the tax for fatty foods if they're not getting fat off of them?
Gov patterson in NYC is creating a fat tax for sugar bassed snacks and soft drinks... SCREW YOU PATERSON !!! drop some weight in your FAT BLOATED BUDGET !! Not the people! Punish yourself goverment leaders of the world! YOU create the enviorment and laws that allow us to be who we are. Then you want to punish us when you run out of money for all your backwards programs that dont work. Drop some weight yourself, Fire useless employees, cancel failing programs and overexpences!! FU GOV PATTERSON!!!
hmmmmm, how can one hate Giles Coren? perhaps upon discovering that he's an unabashed and unapologetic RACIST? an arrogant psycho who spews hate at entire cultural subsets of UK society? "stunning" indeed... i suggest people read up on this guy's recent controversies. still a fan?
How can you hate Giles Coren? I mean really!! What 21st century male do you know who can look stunning in Regency, Restoration, Victorian, Edwardian, Elizabethan and 1970's clothing???
why dont they put a tax on high calorie foods i mean is the tax man or women going to come to my house every year and weight me they could gather us all together and weight us like they do when selling cattle if so i want to get a hair cut go to the toilet shave my legs before any one weights me
it's not 'looking from the norm' that's the problem, it's self-inflicted health-risk costing tax payers increasing amounts of money.
On the other hand, i think the tax would compound the problem, alienate people and make them feel unwanted. Many of the people who get this way could well be comfort eaters for existing problems - i cant imagine this would make them improve.
Better education? all the way. My school never told me what a healthy diet was - i had to find out on my own. =/
