I'm a restorer and this guy is talking absolute fucking bollocks! Yes, were asked to restore something to its former glory after being damaged....Only ever, because that will make the item more sale-able and increase it's market value above that of a broken piece. Occasionally for arts sake.........but certainly not as a rule!
