The mother of one of my fiance's friends who lives in our village in Nordrhein-Westfalen owns one just like it, but I've only seen it only one time while I was eating ice cream at McDonalds lol. Hers doesn't have the PPI unfortunately, but it's still an amazing car, and nearly every color suits it well. The looks fit the performance and it has surprisingly good fuel economy for a supercar. I wish you many happy miles with this machine. :)
I (respectfully) disagree. Audi's ad for the new V10 R8 are all red. Many many people who've seen it in person say it's the most beautiful car they've seen in their life - they love the red color. It's a great color for a sports car.
that's a great sounding exhaust when the valves open - pity can't get some kind of manual control over it as the mode changes are far more noticeable with the ppi vs the stock as you noted.
Red with carbon blades in the flesh is a stunning combo for the r8 - the video doesn't do the color justice.
You mean make it quiet all the time? No, it's controlled by engine RPM and also wide open throttle. It's loud at idling, goes to quiet when you start moving, and stays quiet till 4750 RPM (unless you give it full throttle). This is the standard exhaust valve control method on the R8. You just hear it more with this loud muffer.
@TuckerBud44 Can that be bypassed by additional piping (headers, and all that are in between) ? Not that I would though, but I think that's a pretty dope ass feature...if only the exhaust on my car would do that...
oh yeah one thing i want to ask u sir..is this ppi exhaust is just a bolt on exhaust?or is it with the downpipe too?or ppi gives a package from the exhaust,exhaust pipe and the header?thanx sir....
wow!!so u have a tab for the throttle like aston martin v8 vantage...the quiet mode is relaxing man...tolerable..and i can simply change my horn into my exhaust pipe..just rev it above 45k rpm when there's an idiot doing something strange..LOL..nice bro...very nice!!
With R8, you can't even catch a EG6 Civic??? Even though the owner puts 50K into the car you car is more expensive than that Civic...=,=''
