Very good try and you have a lot of fun as I see, however this piece is made for orchestra and, unlike many other classical music, impossible to play on a piano without loosing it's feel.
I loved how much feeling James put into this piano peice! I was rolling on the floor laughing! It's almost as if Aaron Copland is in his hands. He's a definite inspiration to me. I hope one day I'll be able to play this song and just as well as Mr.Adler.Thanks!
Had this guy as my music professor in freshman year of college. Fucking amazing piano player. I remember one time he came in with a broken arm and started playing like crazy. He's the man.
is the sheet music available?? I've got a CD with Mark Allan playing his transcription, sounds exactly the same as this version, could it have been published?

i can't stop looking at the shiny head in the front row, it's mezmerizing
welcometourf 1 year ago
@welcometourf What head? I can't EVEN see the piano let alone a shiny head since there is so many people there croweding the view:
Perhaps the uploader should have smaller people in the front and taller people in the back no? :)

Does anybody know where I can get sheet music for this?

From the Boosey & Hawkes piano edition, prepared (presumably) by Aaron Copland.

There's no pianist quite like James Adler.

Absolutely amazing!!! I had no idea this could even be played on a piano! The ending looks like so much fun to play!

any notice that this guy memorized the entire thing? :O
yay99999 2 years ago
Since Franz Liszt( and the so difficult pieces) pianists use to memorize every single piece cause the don't have time to look at the sheet =)

I think there's nothing strange about it.
Musicians remember, academicians read sheets.

most pianists do (for performances at least)

There should be, I think Aaron Copland did a transcription of this for piano, as well as Saturday Night Waltz.

Yes, the piano publication has several different works. All difficult, sadly. ;-)
