  • great tv ...sadly its about 2 mins too long.. song writting has ceratinly improved since then ;)

  • Sun Records uncovered music genuises.. Each and every one a Great Artist.. None of them competed against each other.. just total respect.. The 50s is where it all began.. lets not forget Buddy Holly.. But Jim Reeves was great also.. we could go on and on.. great music from great artists.. Each one just opened their mouth and sang a tune.. great stuff..

  • great that they made a tribute to the ONE AND ONLY KING ELVIS PRESLEY. love eternal for him! <3

  • Roy orbison has the voice of an angel

  • What's to compare here? These incredible men (including the absent Elvis), were pioneers of rock music that lasted until they died -- AND most of them recorded more of their best music at the END of their careers. Elvis was the King -- but these men -- they don't bow to any king -- and Elvis liked it that way -- believe me. Elvis respected each and every one of the men on this stage as they respected him in return. They all cast musical shadows the rest of us couldn't stand in.

  • I'd venture to say you'd never see stars of this caliber get up and sing gospel songs now a days.

  • Four Greats ..that I remember very fondly....

    R.I.P. Roy, Carl , Johnny......

Jerry Lee is last man Standing....(!)

Thank you for the great music, you all....

  • @MatchboxFreak1980 Who would ever have thought that Jerry Lee would outlive all the others...

  • @jennytmaher and the last i heard, he's still playing.

  • @jennytmaher

wich only goes to show hard and fast living is good for you ! :) most of them did anyway !

  • It doesn't really matter who is better than who in this company. Throw in the likes of Sam Cooke, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and ask yourself the question how many of today's 'stars' have comparable weight and gravitas. I don't doubt they have the money, but this crowd have something that money can't buy. They have history, they have earned it - and that's not something that can be bought and sold.

  • @hardyfh1

That's such a true comment. All the names you've mentioned here have something the "stars" of today don't . Apart from talent, that is. These legends all exuded charisma

  • Great show!!!!

  • legends every single one legends and yes the biggest legend of them all is the big e.

  • Roy Orb looks rediculous

  • @Atomicflash500 learn to spell ya cock

  • What the hell happenned to Roy Orbison in that Johnny Cash movie? Where was he?

  • What stars they ALL were!

  • wow, whatta guests!

  • Yeah, I love Johnny Cash. But, Elvis he ain't. Carl Perkins never got his due. Rock on Rockabilly.

  • RIP ELVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. There's hundreds of tributes to you here. This is a good one.

  • All my heros together im in heaven :)

  • This makes me happy.. All such amazing musicians.. RIP Jr and Elvis

  • Ha, looks like the Danzig fan club- but of course it's the other way around.

  • How classy of Johnny to remember Elvis in his Christmas special. What a fantastic tribute from a group of great artists that Elvis called friends.

  • Great Tribute to the King... by four great artists... stop bad mouthing good artists because you don't like them doesn't mean they are not good. :)

  • after BIG O

  • Love Elvis , Great tribute from three great artists, and that balls of fire pratt ,, enough said

  • WOW

  • JOHNNY CASH! R.I.P REAL KING!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love how Roy didn't have to dress up

  • Comment removed

  • @ImpaleClan Johnny Cash was the real king?????????????? I like Johnny, but that's a first for me.

  • @ImpaleClan As you could probably tell by Johnny's speech, not even he would call himself more King of Rock n' Roll than Elvis. "I was the guest and he was the star. And he always was a star."

  • @ImpaleClan

Elvis was the king......Johnny is GOD

  • @ElvisCash14 In God,you CAN believe!In a KING you MUST believe!

  • @DexterGameser One King - all others Princes... Today once more we mourn. But the legends live on...

  • @ImpaleClan elvis is king johnny is really good too

  • @ImpaleClan i beg to differ... they were all kids.... Jerry Lee Lewis was the Piano king, Elvis was the king of having Soul for rock and roll, Johnny cash was the king for having the heart of Rock and roll, and Roy orbison was the king of the voice, and Carl Perkins was the king of rising up when you have nothing.... THEY WERE ALL KINGS

  • @ImpaleClan Elvis was the King but Johnny IS THE LEGGEND...

  • @ImpaleClan What are you talkin'? The REAL king IS an WAS JL Lewis!;)

  • @MrJackDice JR Lewis was fantastic.. Jamming with Elvis was great.. These guys didnt compete .. they were just mates creating music for the future .. and what a legacy they left.

  • WOW!!! :D

  • NOBODY TODAY CAN TOUCH THESE FANTASTC MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET SINGERS

  • ELVIS, sun in my life

  • This is soooo good, thanks for sharing.Man that Carl Blue Suede shoes is one salty singer. And Roy Orbison what a sweet soul! And of course my rocker The Johnny Cash and his steady like a train sound~Doesn't get any better.Would have been awesome if Jerry Lee had of've been on the ivorry keys though :(I think Elvis would've like this except for Jerry Lee.Ya'll know he went to Elvis's in 76 or 77 brandishing a gun!!??!!

  • wow ! what a rare video !!!

  • Jerry & Cash were so jelous of him and Roy & Carl weren't. I think it's nuts how Carl and Roy are dressed as him! I mean they practically went into ELvis' closet! You should also look up some 70's shots of DOnny Osmond on stage, he practically dressed in Elvis' jumpsuit.

  • @nycstef75 elvis and the osmonds brothers was great friends elvis used to call the osmonds brothers mother up just to talk to her it was said that she reminded him of his mother and yes elvis gave them the name of the guy who made the outfits that he made for elvis, so elvis told the osmond brothers he thought they would look great in the outfits mostly because of the confort and style, alot of people don't know these things but should read up on things before jumping the gun

  • Tears to my eyes ..beautiful!

  • in my eye's,, so not to start a fight with anyone,Elvis was the KING of rock n roll but Johnny Cash was and always will be GOD, full stop!

  • GREAT,GREAT,GREAT Video, they Dont come any better! GOD bless!

  • GREAT,GREAT,GREAT Video, they come any better! GOD bless!

  • all four are the best long live elvis

  • These men created Rock & Roll. ...and on this day, they laid its King to rest.

  • @harlesslee yes elvis is at rest but his music will live on and on now there is only one of these guys left since this was done we lost them all but jerry lee lewis the last of the great ones and sun records sam phillips is now gone

  • isn't this Dale Hawkins - My baby don't stand no sheating

  • J.R Cash is the Biggest King!! :)

  • Thanks for sharing this with us all... May everyone have a wonderful 2010 Holiday Season

  • During Sun's early years, Sonny James and a young steel player, Rocky Caple, had steady gigs in Memphis. The Sun artists routinely shared the living room floor in that pair's apartment, taking quilts and light mattresses from the coat closet. When Rocky's band leader needed acts to fill out State Fair shows in the region, often five shows daily for five days, he would budget $1,000, which would get the entire Sun crew of 12 to 14. 25 shows for 12 of them for $1,000 = about $3.30 per show each..

  • Elvis Presley,Roy Orbison,Buddy Holly, and Neil Diamond. These are the greatest singers with ever.

  • Thank you for sharing this wonderful tribute with us.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • That was great, Thank you!

  • 4 legends pay tribute to the man who MADE rock and roll, the one and only Elvis Presley. As Buddy Holly said, if not for Elvis, none of the rest of us could have made it ....

  • Thanks to guys like these who dedicate their lives, to make people smile.

  • priceless

  • Thank you!!

  • BTW Elvis will always be my favorite singer ever.

  • Elvis with humility and class stated it best "You can call other Singers or Groups better than me,but don't ever call anyone else the King except Jesus Christ God the Son"

Opposite to what the world thinks or believes Elvis never liked being put on a pedestal above other other human beings like a god but rather just a human being born with a special God given talent in time and world history.

  • 33 years on and we still love THE KING !

    RIP ELVIS !

  • These guys were the hot dogs of the music industry - and that is said in the very best way. Elvis deserves this tribute. There will never be another era in music as when these guys and Elvis were on the radio. I revelled in their music and personalities. I am glad I had this time with them. Jerry Lee is still carrying on carrying on. Love to them all.

  • A fitting tribute to their good friend, Elvis!

  • This statement could not be said to describe in music any better:

BEFORE ELVIS THERE WAS NOTHING---JOHN LENNON

  • @BBQFanNo1

I don`t agree. Even Elvis knew that older guys like Bill Haley opened the gates to success.

  • @Weidenberg I dont believe rock n roll would have became what it became without elvis' success, sure they did it before elvis but poor old bill wasnt gonna create anything likethe impact of the memphis flash. history prooves what the people wanted.

  • ELVIS WEEK HAS COMMENCED ONLY IN MEMPHIS TENN. LONG LIVE THE KING

  • do ya luv it //???

  • Great watching all these great musicians together.

  • BOUND FOR GLORY

  • the heart of R&R SUN RECORDS

  • I am proud to be from the same city that Carl Perkins grew up in

  • @theReelfootcat which city is that?

  • @theReelfootcat Was that Tiptonville?

  • Thank you so much for posting this magnificent quartet of the greatest artists together. If you have time check out a song called "Presley Orbison & Cash" on my site. More than worthy, as a great tribute to some of the greatest artists that ever walked this planet! Going to play this again. Fantastic!!!

  • Parrucche poche, eh?

  • the million dollar quartet revisted. cstanchik

  • @gear2345 yea problaby. however carl perkins used a wig but im not sure when he started to use that, and to be honest i really dont care i think he looked like a rock n roll star with that, i mean hard to be bald standing in those outfits and at that time.. • GREAT VIDEO!!

  • never mind. i didnt read the titel. lol haha

  • Who are the guys singing? i just know johnny cash.

  • (sweat, sweat) Lessee here.... there's THE Jerry Lee Lewis(aka, The Killer!), Roy Orbison(Who died recently), Carl Perkins(An awesome singer, besides The King of Rock 'n Roll), and they are AWESOME! So remember, and remember good. JLL, RO, CP, JC(Man in Black) I hate Sam Phillips.

  • Sam Phillips was the one who got them in the business, and in my opionion there would have been no Rock N Roll if it were not for Sam Phillips. Also "recently" is like a few months to a year, but remember, and remember good. Roy Orbison died in 1988, Carl Perkins died in 1998, Johnny Cash died in 2003, and Jerry Lee Lewis is the Last Man Standing.

  • Roy Orbinson died more then twenty years ago

  • I just heard that someone shot JFK. I cried my eyes out.

  • damn.

    amazing

  • Cool video. too bad they didn't all dress up in the Elvis jumpsuits. :)

  • Pijamassss!

  • Mishkan

  • Very rare and touching vid. Even though its recorded from a tv i still gave it 5 stars = Elvis, Johnny, Jerry Lee, Roy and Carl.

  • WOW...the only one left is Jerry Lee. I miss them all.

  • He's the "Last Man Standing"

  • I know what you're saying.. I cried when I heard Roy died in the Johnny Cash book (No name i guess) Carl Perkins was a cute guy, and mom's favorite rocker. Jerry Lee Lewis is a hunk, and I love him! I cried at the song 'Hurt' when Johnny sang it before his death date SO many times. He was a smoker..2 bad...

  • ELVIS = LIVES

  • Elvis is the KING of MUSIC

  • Johnny Cash is the KING of MUSIC in my opinion.

  • Johnny Cash shouldn't be put on a pedestal though, I've almost done that 12 timez, (Going on thirteen) But I LOVE JOHNNY CASH, 2! Thankz fer commenting to this guy.

  • The only person I put on a pedestal is Jesus Christ, but if you knew what Johnny Cash has done for me, you will understand why I call him the King Of Music. I was 6 months old and my dad, nana, grandpa and my uncle who wanted to have headphones placed on my head, and my mom said no, but then she said yes after realizing there was no harm in it. Johnny Cash at the time was the only singer I wanted to listen to at the time, and the only thing that would sooth me. Continue next comment.

  • I have Classic Autism, which is the lowest form of autism, and in most cases people have an IQ of 60 or below, but I have an IQ of 116, and I graduated mainstream on the AB honor roll from high school, and now take care of my daily funds and affairs. If it were not for him and his music, I would not be as high functioning as I am, because he was music therapy for me. God placed Johnny Cash in my life for a reason, and that was to help me become who I am today.

  • Besides all that he crossed all musical boundaries successfully, and made the music his own. He made his own sound and subgenre, and he was not a follower but a leader, as the result.

  • Great tribute.

  • Elvis is THE KING

  • obrigado por mais este video mt bom...

  • Good gospel singing all around! Thanks very much for posting this.

  • gracias por el tributo al Rey !!

  • touching. thanks!

  • nice video mate!:)
