i might go elk hunting with a bow this year for the first time i have a 308 fps bow set at 60 pounds with a 10,20, and 30 yard pin i would like to either get a tip on how to use those sights for a 40 yard shot on an elk or suggestions for sights to buy

thing is, most olympic archers who shoot with the bows with all the fancy balancers and gadgets are unable to shoot a tranditional long/recurve bow properly and accuratly. Let's keep traditional archery alive, don't go so futuristic about it.

i hunted with a longbow for 2 years im 19 now and dont see the need to go out and buy a bow like the one he has for $600 when i can go to gander mountian and buy a parker blazer for $300 speed doesnt mean shit its all about accuracy i have never felt the urge to shoot at a deer any farther than 20 yards gay

I'm sorry, when I see someone with a bow that has more wheels and gadgets than a lear jet, I cannot consider that person seriously, as an archer. A simple compound bow ... no problem. But when you need a Ph.D in engineering, to understand your weapon, there's something wrong here. To top it off, I have not seen that guy make a single shot yet, that I cannot maker from 3 times the distance, with a regular straight bow.
