It isn't necessary to heat a substance to its boiling point to vaporize it. its true that the boiling point of nicotine is 247C, but this temp isn't necessary for vaporizing nicotine. Nicotine, like any substance, vaporizes rapidly at temps significantly lower than the boiling point. Significant vaporization rates for nicotine occur at 350F for example. Also, the VaporGenie can readily achieve temps greater than 204C/ 400F.

@thejewdriver We did the lead tests back in 2007. Vapor Buddy has not provided information about their materials or lead paint usage and we have not been monitoring Vapor Buddy paint for lead. So you will have to contact and ask the Vapor Buddy company what they have been doing about this issue. Since they dont have a presence on the Internet, we are unsure how to contact them.

no offense to the manufacturer, but the magic flight box has set the standard of top notch portable vaporizers. until someone can improve upon their design, there is really no competition.
nice product, interesting they finally decided to do a commercial, i have to say it is quite horribly done, with cheesy voices, comical scenes/costumes, i feel it misses the target market. This commercial is weird but it caught my attention and i liked it cause of that , also it was very informative in a funny way about the product. AS a suggestion the vapor genie makers could film their people using each vapor-genie pipe to show variety and as a tutorial to new users so they don't waste their tobacco or burn it and have a bad experience with such a good product/company.

@porphyria2 Hehe.. I know your post is old, but I think i can give you advice. This device is probably not best for 'vaporizing tobacco'. It probably works better on other smoking herbs - whatever they may be (dont get giddy - 14 states have medical now, many countries besides US are not so prohibition mad also).
Anyways, if you want a non-combustion tobacco experience, consider the e-cigarettes? I know nothing about those though. Or try (heh) a hookah of 'Shisha'.(arabic tobacco)
I have one. They are so fucking amazing, and I find it gives me a much smoother feeling after vaping the herb! I don't get nearly as dry of eyes and mouth, and I only need like half as much to get the same effect.
This piece works really good as a vaporizer, but they have some misinformation in this video...unfortunately it takes about 8 seconds with the flame how it shows in the video before you get any vapor at all, might take 1-2 seconds if you torch the shit out of it, but then again i've never tried tobacco in it. I'm happy with it. It works as well, if not better than other vaporizers ive used at a fraction of the price, and its smaller/more portable/easier to hide if needed. I recommend this.

Only if you actually touch whats in it with the flame, but you have to remember that with the hotter and hotter it gets the more stuff its going to vaporize from whatever you have in there. If you get one of these, I wouldn't worry about it...You'll get used to it np.
