I have the Lumix FZ100, which can record in Full HD, ability to attach a external microphone, 24x optical zoom and even a high speed movie mode (220fps)

I own this camera too and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Photos taken on full zoom have incredible clarity and are so clean and clear. I've owned several digital cameras, and this one is by far that best. I've taken some amazing photos on zoom that I never would have been able to capture on my previous cameras. If you're thinking about this camera, you won't be disappointed. It's awesome!

I love this camera the only set back is that it only records in mono, and not stereo, hell it will the be nice if they recorded audio in HD

@SAYMYNAM386 I guess, i mean i will love at least 22khz on the mono, recording!! but it recors 16 so, what ever its a camera ,not a camcorder at its best right :) lol also I use to have a panasonic fh1k, and its mono recording was a whole lot better than my new, fz28k, ok, thanks for the reply!!

@vwlover94  buy the FZ-38. Its the new version of this camera WITH stereo recording.

I sold this cam and bought myself a TZ7, its smaller, and sound is a lot better

@Bloobje How much do you think that i can sell my ,pansonic lumix dmc fz28k for?. I was looking somewhere around , 300 or 270 u.s dollars, it comes with bag, 2 filters, camera, strap and cleaning cloth, so what do you think the price, lol the price is right!!

You aren't having much luck with the camera are you. You can only look slightly away from you and can't look at the moon :D

I have one of these an in manual mode the zoom continues past 18x and thanks to the optical zoom software it reports to be the equivalent of 70x+ Wide Screen too! WIth image stabilization activated and a place to rest your elbows you can take incredible shots that would otherwise be tiny dots on a normal camera. This thing is amazing especially once you learn the ins and outs of F values and exposures and how to manage them. I paid $310 and to me its worth $1000 720P HD video at 30 fps WOW

oh wow. now I really can't wait to get this camera! it was fun just to watch you zoom in and out and be amazed at how clearly everything is shown. btw, it looks like your in a motor home/trailer/RV. i only think this because my grandparents used to live in one and I recognize the windows, lol.

There are videos of another Lumix HD camera filmed on a concert... I think this one is even better, because it's not a compact model.

Search for Dream Theater in YouTube and select only the HD videos, and you will find it ;)

Auto focus doesn't seem to keep up with the lens. I suspect a firmware update will sort that out.

Until then try different focusing options.

Maybe manual focus? (The old zooming into the target, focusing, then zooming out). Hopefully it will keep calibration then.

At any rate, you have a good eye.

This is by far the best test of this camera's video abilities that I have seen on YouTube.

I was on the fence about buying one until now.
