I used to have a friend called Marcus. He got heavy into drugs, got diagnosed with depression and borderline. He doesn't talk to a majority of his old best friends anymore. When he was a kid his step father would threaten to rape him and his mother did nothing. This song reminds me of him.

His father abused him, etc., and it seems that he's 'moved in' with Andy. Marcus basically lets his life go, and won't forgive his father. As Andy tries to coax Marcus into coming out of his idiocy, he himself realizes where he is in life, which he thinks to be nowhere. I know it's deeper, but this is brief, and by a 13-year-old. =F

Something that not too many bands do anymore and it's not a bad thing they don't but that just makes it even more amazing when you see a band that does. and that my friend is one of the many reasons Manchester Orchestra is so great.
