Hi, and thank you for your reply! I did have someone do my make up once and also my daughter is a certified cosmetologist...I just don't like the feeling of the stuff on my face. lol. A little mascara, eyeliner and I'm good to go. Love love love bright red lipsitck "Cherries in the Snow" was my fav by Revlon and I buy that when they carry it but as my mother was fond of pointing out it made me look like a "POODLE IN HEAT" ( I have no lips. lol) but love it anyway.
All the other times I watched this video, people were about, so it was muted. But now with sound up, it's lovely to HEAR those petticoats rustling! Thanks for the petticoats, all of them. You cannot have too many petticoats on, I think.... Unless it becomes too heavy to stand up, in which case you have to sit in a chair with the camera in the front row, please.
well, you finally turned up the sound! Did you have that mouse hovering over the X to immediately close out the window in case on of your office mates steps in?
In some ways there can be too many petticoats as PastryDiva commented. They are not too heavy, it's more of appearance and how they feel. I probably should review Grace Kelly's dress she wore in "Rear Window" (or was it a blouse and skirt).Whatever, the flare was just right.
If you use one less petticoat the skirt won't look so much as a Pagent toddler's "cupcake" dress, I love how you accessorized it but feel that one less petticoat would do it...Buuuut, it's all about the fantasy and I'm so loving it. lol. I have always envied the skill and talent that it takes to transform, when I can't even get my make-up right. Are you designing and sewing these yourself, you are very talented
dress was custom made though I had certain particulars I wanted in the design. I tend to agree one less petticoat is probably better (men would not notice the difference, it is the petti fans that can tell), and will be more of a June Allyson sweep (plus not as hazardous of knocking things off tables, which can lead to embarassing moments in a restaurant).
@mdolivetti thank you so much, I've been look for this piece for a costume I'm making and that's why i wanted in black but now want in purple go figure for me.
@mdolivetti When I see girls and sometimes young women, and how they are dressed, I think they are completely ridiculous.Of course, it doens't concern all the young girls and women of the earth. Some are doing their best to find and to wear original and beautiful clothes Perhaps, it may seem old-fashioned for some people but for me not, because like I said in my message, a woman dressed like this is very cute, feminine, and elegant. And the woman who wears it becomes like a princess.
@mdolivetti Of course, it is also a question of taste. But I think that a young girl or a young woman dressed like that will be very attractive. Like a bride who is going to marry the man she loves. Or even... a princess. I think it would be good to make this kind of clothes fashionable again.
This was going out of style just as I turned a teenager! Oh how I wish I could have dressed like that! I remember my older sister getting dressed for dates and also for her prom......sigh....Let's bring it back!!
@cootercat486 that must have been frustrating when those fashions go out just when you are old enough to wear them. Have you considered vintage dresses on ebay or have one custom made?
@mdolivetti Oh, yes! I do have several that I wear at home and model for my husband.....he loves them on me! One of my favorites is a red dress with tiny white hearts all over it. It has gold buttons on left shoulder and sleeve and again down left side of dress. It is so feminine and romantic!
@cootercat486 Are several of these dresses bouffant with petticoats? If so, Pettipond website always looks for girls that love modeling such dresses. You sound like Pettilady, she has a huge fan following and her husband feels he's the luckiest guy alive.
The rustling of petticoats IS a pretty sound. But What a Horrible Noise! What are these, plastic?
I don't know. The Satin scratching together has the same effect on me as the sound of fingernails scraping a chalkboard or the squeaking of chewing ice might have on someone else.
OK, so I don't have high fidelity sound system for the audio and PC speakers are not the best. It is the taffeta that makes the sound, most agree it is quite stimulating. Sorry it doesn't work for you.
@ssarryo These are Doris crystal magic petticoats (I purchased them), one is 60 yds, then a layer of satin and I put another of 40 or 60 yds (I have to take a look). Probably a little too much for going out on town.
@mdolivetti Haha. Maybe a little much but the petticoat looks good. I really like the 50's fashion. I made a simple petticoat to attach it to knee length skirt like the one in the video but in blue polka dot on a white background.
@kerstin65 I'm not sure, depends probably. If I was going out on town, I'd probably remove one of them. For most it may be plenty, petticoats are not common and it would be a completely new sight for many.

@mdolivetti: Well - petticoats are out of fashion these days, that´s true but - who cares? I´m out in petticoats and I never mind what people might be thinking about. Maybe you do know the Golden Oldies festival at Wettenberg? Last year I was out there in company of my petticoat-girls and I did wear 5 petticoats with a total of 360 yards. People there had been curious about that huge amount and did make a lot of compliments, but I´m out everywhere else too, wearing 3 petticoats at least :-*
I don't think of this as "submissive" more like extremely 1950's feminine, screams "date me" though not to make love in (don't want to ruin the dress). That is what the leather outfit with spike heel boots is for, and the man on bottom.
I also love the sound of the rustling petticoat. I have several in my wardrobe and love everyone of them. One cannot have too many petticoats. I love evening gowns like you and also love swimsuits. Well anything feminine for that matter. This video got a lot of comments. I would like to correspond with my petticoat loving "sisters" and will be bold enough to give my Email address max.co@live.com. Would love to get some Emails. Thanks for making my day a special one.
Loved the video. I have an interest in petticoats, too. Loved to watch you dress. I did not know that type of dress was called a dating dress. Wish I had dated women wearing this type of dress.
