Stukas are such bullshit lol. And I mean they are 'too' good.
Priests are good, mainly because you have to take royal arty to get them so you get all the nice stuff that goes with it. But personally if it's just plain shooting, I prefer Hummels. Just seems like they have bigger firepower.
I really hate to be negative about the camera shake, but I have found it best to just knock the camera back on it's axis (pitch only) then rock it half as much again settling it back within about 20 frames. Motion blur is essential for total realism.
I am a big fan, so please don't see this as pointless sniping. You have actually inspired me to start on a new WWII combat anim of my own.
I took note of the camera pitch change to minimize the effect of the built-in game shake...I agree the current shake is most distracting! Also took note to put in some motion blur next time.
I still regard your panther tank simulation as one of the best and most realistic private effort on Tube!
Sorry, didn't notice the British markings on the M-7's until too late. My dad told me the German counter-battery fire was quick and accurate so they had to "shoot and scoot". He said one point in Normandy was touch-and-go and remembers firing one mission then hauling out of there a couple of miles only to get another fire mission 180 degrees behind them at the location from which they had just come from.
Thanks very much for sharing these tales with us, The stories of your dad are most valuable and precious, try to record it for future generations.....
Thank you for the video. That's what my father did in WWII. He was in the 391st Field Artillery Battalion, 3rd Armored Division. Fought in Normandy, France, Belgium, and Germany. They dressed differently though. I think the unit in your video must be British due to the flat helmets used. The only US troops in WWII to use those helmets were in the early part of the war in the Pacific theatre. Thanks again for the video.
