  • Brilliant my sister is teaching her self the guitar I could teach her some aswell and I play accordian and my bro on banjo and we could attempt tico tico xD

  • @ciaran3001 :-D You should. I, for one, would like to see that here...!

  • what the hell did the guitarist do, gnaw at the guitar ??

  • hu disliked ? :O

  • We're playing this song in our high school band! It's sooooooo awesome!!!!!

  • Has this fellow received any classical training? great playing!

  • If you search for " Dermot Byrne 13 years old playing button accordian " on youtube you'll see him in action years ago...natural talent !

  • Sorry tico tico composer is Zequinha de Abreu. Choro music.

  • Tico tico no fuba. THIS IS BRAZILIAN CHORO. By Ernesto Nazareth

  • Great Bass in this one!

  • He makes it look so easy :)

  • Absolutely Fab !

  • You can tell a very good box player when he plays continental stuff. This is a prime example. Hats off to you dermot. He is definatly up there with the greats.

  • Absolute, amazing control. I also love the guitar with the hole worn through it!

  • jesus thats sum sum stuff dermot!!

  • this is very good.

  • .....cool music :)))...

  • Amazing performance. The synchronized foot tapping toward the second half of the song is contagious! :)

  • Wow what a performance.... Hats Off to you Dermot!!!!!!

  • What an amazing performance - distilled to the essence of the tune - crisp yet so smooth. Dermot sat absorbed in the tune, a zen-like quality. Terrific!

    Lorna

  • Niin eleetöntä mutta niin helvetin taitavaa soitantaa! Tällaista voi kuunnella tuomiopäivään asti. Thanks!!!!!

  • excellent! but the tico-tico is a shlow rumba...

  • Needs more cowbell!!!!

    jk

this is such a fun tune to play, and if you can get through it w/o having a 'train wreck' it just makes yer day.

    Well Done!

  • @louswire ***thanks a lot***

  • Sounds good

  • ! ♪≈♫≈♥≈♪≈♫≈

  • Wonderful Mike....great little tango tune

  • @Wanderwd You must be kidding right? Just read my comments below.

  • @AlexNavar kidding about what Alex? It is a tango. It is a Brazilian tango.

  • @Wanderwd Now you confess that you don't know anything about Brazilian music. Doesn't exist "Brazilian Tango" as i commented before the brazilian music style that you can listen on this video is called "chorinho".

  • @AlexNavar I'm not sure who you are but perhaps if you "google" information on Tico Tico, a tango from Brazil vs Argentina, you might want to take up arms with them. This is "music" we are referring to, not a basis for war. We are equally entitled to our opinions. I quit!

  • Excellent.

Liam O'Connor - eat your heart out, this leaves you standing still!! This video demonstrates the pure art of playing and not how to con people with all the fancy lifting and bending of bellows and lying on the floor and playing it over your head!!!

This is TRUE skill and control.

    Mike

  • nice one

  • super sehr schon gratuliren ganze orkester

  • I love it. Very nice performance.

  • Bravo !

  • This great brazilian tune by the original name of "Tico-Tico no Fubá" composed by the master o the "chorinho" José Gomes de Abreu is one of the most expressive tunes of this traditional brazilian music style...., and now, played by some of the best players of the traditional irish music just make me really Glad! Love the trad. flavoring...Bravo! Bravíssimo!

  • this is the best ever version of tico tico in the world

  • agree

  • Man, didn't even mess up his hair.

Wonderful playing and arrangement, especially that C-section.

  • Fantastic, would't you stand to your knees in snow listening to them

    Thanks

    Mike

  • o żesz ale jazda, wileki szacun:)

  • What a line up of musicians!

  • Excelente, esto es increible!!!

  • Fantastic. Or has he forgotten to undo the bottom strap?

  • Amazing! One of my favorite box videos on Youtube!

  • wrong gibsonpaddy if you cn trace a version ofthis by Fintan Stanley its well worth listening to .

  • Music ....made in Brazil

  • What kind of music is this?

  • Thought it was a tango, but perhaps samba? Whatever it is, I danced to it!

  • south american samba i think

  • @accordion1994

To be exact, Brazilian choro, not samba

  • That tune comes from venisuala in south america. Dermot Byrne was de first person 2 play in ireand and its difficult. I can play it on de banjo but i recommend not playin it as its 2 hard

  • it has a heavy Spanish twist and influence to it

  • i tryed to learn this but gave up after the first 4 bars... too difficult for me :( has anyone got the propper music for this?

  • Brilliant!

  • The bellows are hardly moving real skill what a box player

  • Thanks Dermot,

    Thanks

    From

    Mike

  • I like how Dermot holds his button box like a new dad holding an already sleeping baby! Contrast his style to Steve...lol!

    *****!!!! xoxox

  • I tryed to learn this... gave up after 5 mins... its sooo difficult. dermot byrne is too good

  • Magic

  • What a player Dermot is! That's Frankie Gavin on fiddle is it?

  • love it!

  • so nice:)

  • find=fine

  • Tis, a find musician.

  • nice music!!!!!

  • hes unreal. go on donegal

  • Thanks for posting this video.Excellent playing.

  • Ridiculousity. Dermot's economy of motion in his playing is amazing, especially considering how wild this piece is. Virtuoso! I also love how Steve Cooney basically has a huge hole where the top of his guitar used to be;P

  • thanks sooo much for posting this and the other videos!!! pure brilliant!! sooo smoothe and ease of control on that box!! where and when was this recorded??

  • "The sparrow in the flour" - Der Spatz im Mehl

  • Well done.
