Aha.. My really close friend Brycen Ingersoll played this when he was 16 on Bass. He played a slightly more accurate arrangement to the real Zigeunerweisen for Violin. And even though this is definitely really good, my friend played it much better (:

well then my friend you have heard nothing, look up actual bass pieces, this is a violin piece transcribed for bass. look up dave anderson, francois rabbath, giovanni bottessini bass peices, jeff bradetich, edger meyer, gary karr, AND LISTEN TO CONTRABASS CONVERSATIONS, its under jason heath's youtube page.. in my opinion there is somewhat of a revolution in the bass playing world from abbath's new method of playing the bass. look into it THE BASS IS AMAZING!

nothing unusual, just ordinary doublebass (commonly used in solo playing 7/8 size, if I´m not wrong), but hours and hours of work and quite talented player, of course.

I tell Pat, don't use those Strings,the sound of bass is no good. You are a talent; but try to have a doublebass sound. It will be harder but people will listen to a double bass.

Don't do like Karr, Rabbath and others. WE are double bass players ...

Though I play French bow, Patkolo is living proof that you can play fast and expressively with a German bow, too.
