un vero mostro da oltre 600 cv,la più mostruosa ina ssoluto è stata l'utlima versione della quattro,la s1 si narra che arrivasse vicina ai 1000cv di potenza e aveva delle gomme speciali perchè le strappava,purtroppo dopo al morte di toivonen e la strage di santos in portogallo i gruppi b sono satti aboliti e a ragione,perchè le ultime evoluzioni erano divenatte inguidabili e pericolosissime per i piloti e per il pubblico.

there are tons, it's called Bi-turbo

Mmmmm, I think that you are wrong. Bi - turbo are engines with 2 turbo chargers, like for instance the Masseratti bi-turbo. This 2 turbos work simultaneously. The S4 is different, the supercharger works at low rpm range and the turbo at high with a very complex valves combination.

The engine sound is very different: when the car is coming in our direction, it has a high pitch, is it the turbo? Because when he goes away from us, it look like a regular group B engine. It can't just be the Doppler effect, right?

for a start this specific delta s4 is the result of over 20 years of engineering and pedigree, the 80's version was twitchy and described as having a mind of its own, now it is in a league of it's own and in my book it is a true supercar with proper italian soul, passion and beauty!
