I couldn't imagine where this man Osita Osadebe incanated from. But may his soul rest in peace and blessed be unto his descendants on Earth. He really made Igbo's proud, and liberated many souls from descending to the land of the dead before their time. Osankwa!! I hope to become your successor. I love the inspiration in your sound.
I REMEMBER MY FIRST TIME TRAVELING BY BUS ( lUXURIOUS BUS FROM gBOKO TO oNITSHA , I LISTENED TO THIS SIMILAR MUSIC THROUGH OUT THE NITE STANDING THROUGH OUT MY JOURNEY, WHEN I LISTEN TO THIS TODAY IT IS A PIECE I HAVE IN MY IPOD AND LISTEN WHEN EVR .. oH I AM MISSING THAT NICE COUNTRY FULL OF NICE STUFFS...
i was born in Benin city Edo state, but i am from Ekpoma, Ishan by tribe. This is literally the only music i listen to, i dont understand what he says but the instrumentals are the best. Osadebe osita you rock. You are a naturally born musician
can someone explain the link between Osadebe and Oliver De Coque, they both refer to the People's Club of Nigeria and Star Social club alot as well as use eachothers lyrics and concepts.
Captownstateofmind, in my little understanding, I think the similarities exhibited are because both were Igbos, members of People's Club (a prominent Igbo social club after the war), Star Social club. Also, both came from Anambra State and did play ekpiri music, from which they graduated to what they were. However, Oliver had his powerful Congo-style guitar, which Osadebe lacks. Osadebe is slower and more philosophical. Hope I tried. But others can offer more insights.
people's club is a well popularity and rich club in the igbo culture which if u are in,ur family and children are in and they help families like brothers keeper b4 u enter u must be to do. u know wat i mean.........
Oh when did he pass on? May his SOUL RIP.Thanks for the great music you left for us to continue to enjoy for ever. You are the greatest!!!!!!! Greetings from TIKO; CAMEROON.
tuuuuune lol u know i found it hard to appreciate this song when i was young, mainly because it went on and on, but now im mature im actually enjoying it. I suppose i heard it soo much because my parents wre members of the 'peoples club of nigeria'. i really should find and this album on LP.
