  • i have a confession to make

    your choice in Poetry

is having an effect on mine

  • a masterpiece of a poem by one of the greatest female poets that ever lived

  • A beautiful, sonorous voice. A delight which only heightens the emotion of this piece. Thank you. I am now an avid fan of your voice and readings.

  • I noticed something that I never saw or thought of before. I had three courses in which my professors talked about this poem

  • I love this woman's poetry and I wrote a song called "Lost Art" inspired by her poem "One Art." It's on my myspace page. /stelladonna.... i live by this poem every day

  • great villanelle poem and great reading. would u tell me who does these readings? and please upload more

  • @sacredheart1978 Thank you for your kind words. All read by me - over 700 poems so far. Please consult my channel page.

  • @sacredheart1978

great poem and reading...thank you so much:D

  • There is an essential difference between lost and misplaced, even in love.

  • Tell me about it...I spend my life losing...

  • I love this poem

  • Love the movie reference. The poem's not too bad either.

  • Excellent... Absolutely Excellent

  • *applause* :D

  • Oh, and for the record, I made it a favorite and would certainly give it five stars if I could. Elizabeth is something of a poetic hero in my personal mythology. Thank you!

  • I have heard a lot of people read this, and I have read it myself. This is undoubtedly one of the best readings, you have an ear for the meter and the pauses and the right inflections. Thank you for treating the piece so well. I hope that you do not suffer too much at the hands of the National Organization for Women, for you comments on sexual differences ("because their minds have nothing much else to do." Yikes! Duck and run).

  • "There was a comic philosopher born in the West, and his name was Artemus

Ward; and every now and then, after a verbal flourish of this kind, he

used to conclude by saying-- 'This is wrote sarcastic.'"

The Queen's Scarlet, by George Manville Fenn

  • Oh of course. It made me smile, but I was imagining a lady with less humor giving you the dickens. :-)

  • ye, spoken verse ur voice is so apt fr these touching poems...it just beats d right chords....god bless u !!

  • Oh, thanks for the psychological insight :) I just love the way you always put the poems in the right context... this is just so... educational - in the best way :) Thank you!
