a good way to make a good house is to get a floor plan image and import it into sketchup, then you build the house over the plan and everything seems to be perfect. alright vid :|

The best way that I've found is to import the floor plan and a profile of a wall section, set the wall section profile up where it should be and use the follow me tool to sweep the wall section around the profile of the floor plan. From there I would draw rectangles where the door and window openings are and push/pull or intersect them into place.

just to help, sky reflection on windows is impossible. no matter where yo are your windows will never directly reflect the sky. regualr glass works best for windows. Just to help great house though.

@whispit321 No, but generally you will be looking at a window from an angle, more often than not in an upward direction, in which case they would reflect the sky and so it is quite common, in architecture at least, to render windows as reflecting the sky.

The reflection isn't a "reflection" really, its just a texture. So the overhang doesn't have an effect on it.

Nice video dude. I have played with earlier versions of sketchup before (version 1 or 2 I beleive) They didn't impress me much but this video has renewed my interest in the app. I may go download it again. I hope it works on Leopard.
