I got to see Elvis live in vegas 1970 and at Rapid City 77 ....He was the most awesome performer i have seen to date. And i have been to alot of concerts since..no one ever comes close...His voice was something a person cant really tell about, you just had to be there. This song is an example of why he was called the king. His orchastra and band was like a big wall of sound ,coming at you with such power......r will never ever forget it.

@rowsdower12 Yeah Elvis was nothing short of awesome!No matter that I was a hard rocker and heavy metal drummer I grew up on Elvis and he was my man!My sunday school teacher's husband worked at RCA records and she had him get me a print of a hand painted picture of Elvis which I still have today.I personally feel like his death was staged to get him out of the public eye.He could be under witness protection program since he had involvement with the DEA.Shame we may never know the truth.

I love how he sang this song, however there is only One TRUE King, He of which this song is about, Jesus Christ. Elvis knew this and I truly believe that he loved the Lord, and that he had made Him the Lord of his life. At least I hope so, so that I can hear Elvis sing praises to the Lord for all of eternity.
The public killed him in their hunger for more. And his so called friends did not help him.
