Stereopaul: Great upload bro. HR's solo work is excellent. For anyone interested, HR has a compilation album titled, "Anthology" .It's work from all of his solo albums. The album is a great mix of Fusion Reggae ( Fools Gold, Rasta) & even a few punk songs (We're Gonna Get You, It'll Be Alright). The whole album is a banger & a great collection of songs. The album also contains recording dates, location and musicians names & instruments. Anyway, thanks for the rare upload.
That was a trip. I posted my comment then looked at some other comments and noticed emiliourrusuno posted almost the same as me. Great minds think alike. Yeah back in 1990 H.R. Was hella cool he didn't try to talk in some weird English patois(patwa) fakin Jamaican accent he was real I mean he's from D.C. Not Jamaica or Europe
I dont give a fuck if he's crazy he's a genius and most gifted people are out of their minds. I just wish I could of seen him live back in the day.
H.R. In his prime. I love this album CHARGE. I got it on cassette tape. remember those? Every song plays clean with no skips like CDs. no shame in the game. Ha ha what's up with the tweeker behind the bass player? He's on one.
Thanks - great video. I saw him on this tour in Dortmund. I still have a of it tape with many unrecorded songs - Reggae only. He`s an underrated Artist. His solo work with Human Rights is great. Though he might be a bit weird today...
This is awesome. I think to be fair, the last 20 years have not been kind to HR. But I like Hey Wella, it's a cool jam that is from the last few years.
Joseph I aka HR is a friend of mine. Human Rights was awesome. I some them dozens of times. Skitch Lovett on guitar and Vinny Vision on bass are also friends of mine. Earl, Joseph i's brother is cool with me too. The shows were incredible I loved them as much as Bad Brains. Joseph I was as happy as I have seen him during these days. 311 was heavily influenced by Human Rights and even covered one of their songs "Who's got the herb". I would love to see more video of them live.
This is such rare footage. HR and Human Rights at their peak with "Shame in Dem Game" off of "Charge," probably the greatest reggae fusion album ever. Thanks for adding this. Bad ass!
