What gives anyone the right to kill athletes just because they're from another country? What gives anyone the right to kill athletes just because they're from another country? I don't understand the issue fully, I will admit, but I don't understand why those people had to ruin the Olympics for everyone! It doesn't do anything for your cause, it just makes people hate you more. If there was no religion in the world, ahhh, think of how peaceful it would be! And that goes for ALL religions! I personally don't judge someone by the country he comes from and I personally think that it's ignorant to do that. Just because the guy I dated was from Palestine doesn't mean HE ruined the Olympics for me. Likewise, just because these athletes were FROM Israel, doesn't mean an individual can kill them. this issue could have been solved so easily.
If Germany had a quality sniper team, this incident never becomes a massacre. All the terrorists would've been shot dead on the spot, and 11 Israeli athletes would be alive today. But the "sniper" team they put in place were not marksman by any means.

@67nairb I think many of these vintage news broadcasts come from the Vanderbilt Archives collection, which began recording them in 1968. I'm not sure but I believe the black and white may be simply due to the limited video recording technology of the era.

Sorry to say but the Arabs had their day until about 1000 years ago. It's been all downhill since then. Maybe they will again achieve high civilization but right now the best they can do is produce suicide bombers. Just accept that and get on with it.
