I strongly believe anyone even remotely intelligent does not laugh at achmed because we enjoy laughing at Muslims, but rather, we enjoy the satire. That is all this is - a satirical stand-up routine that pushes the view that Westerners have toward Muslims so to the extreme that it is silly. This is not a racist routine and perhaps laughing at stereo-types in both directions does more good than complaining about stereo-typing as you do here.

This is called desensitizing which should be treated with caution.
E.g. the term collateral damage, people should understand that deaths of innocent people in war caused by BOTH sides are treated as 'collateral damage'. As we've been desensitized by media and political propaganda we treat collateral damage as non important.
Again i return to the Achmed clip, it desensitizes the community into a state where people believe it's 'ok' to laugh and attack different cultures.
