Their diesels are truly buttery-smooth, but I would like to see some higher output versions of this engine. A twin-turbo design with some extra revs would allow for a respectable 270+ hp, giving this even more outstanding performance and a feel even gas-lovers could appreciate.

Of the cars BMW makes they are well designed and constructed but it seems BMW falls short compared to Mercedes in every avenue including economy, environmental friendliness, performance, and luxury.

I have a Mercedes but would never make such a wild claim about BMW. They are great cars too! Just not what I was looking for in a mid size luxury sedan.

@tonkatoytruck Easy. BMW cannot compete with a C63 AMG Estate. The closest thing they have is the 335i Touring. The 335 is a very nice car but in a completely different league. That being said, if BMW offered an M3 Touring I would probably buy it. Not as much space as the C63 but more economical and more precise.

What is BMW's answer to the SLS, the SLR, the SL65 AMG, the SL600, CL63, AMG, GL63 AMG, S63? Nothing. BMW makes a more feeling car but Mercedes has more breadth and top end.
