The book is titled "Frenchmen Desire Goodchildren". It was written by John Churchill Chase and first publishe in 1949 . It is about the history of some of the unusual street names in New Orleans. When I was a kid in the 60's , John Chase was an editorial cartoonist ....on television. He would draw his daily cartoons on camera, with no sound , no narration.
I like Chuck's take on this subject.
