@randomenvelope They did an excellent job for the first half of the series or so though, much like Funimation always does. However, like all their other series, when they actually have to think of an idea themselves they fail hardcore. That being said, they are one of the best companies as far as adapting manga to anime in my opinion, just fail at creating their own ideas and implimenting them :P.

The series was animated by Studio Bones, the people responsible for both iterations of Fullmetal Alchemist, also brought to the States by Funimation The way the ending deviates from the manga is the same thing Studio Bones did to the original FMA series.  Incidentally, FAM and SE run/ran in the same magazine in Japan.

well, the manga is still ongoing, but about half way through the anime they got sick of waiting for the manga to be released before making episodes, so they just invented a ending, something about maka being a weapon and killing the kenshin with a "punch of courage" all by herself with her barehands after everyone else has tried and lost.

its stupid, they ignored the entire point of the series, working in Teams. not just make maka "god-mode" ("Plot-Mode"?) to victory

@iamnuff1992 I heard that the producers of Soul Eater would probably make a new series starting from episode 35 (The episode where they started to stray from the manga). This new series would follow the manga more closely. It may however take awhile since the manga is updated once a month.

The vid feels......off.  Like, even if I didn't know a thing about SE I would think this felt off. It wasn't a good song for a soul eater vid. Mainly because of how clear the song's chorus is and what it obviously means. Not saying every song needs to feel tailored to the AMV or anime the AMV is of.
