In my opinion, David Villa was the best player in the World Cup. He scored more goals than anybody (I think. If I'm wrong please correct me), had amazing control of the ball, pinpoint accuracy, and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time to score the goal. Which is why I was a little surprised when they gave the Golden Ball trophy to Diego Forlán.
