@couldnotthinkofone What is wrong with that? If you are not already 70 then., believe me, you will be one day and, by then, you may view the world in a slightly different way. Play the clip again, Christa's playing is superb. if she has some old people in her audience (by the way,70 is not that old these days) then so be it. She is a superb performer and, as this dates to 1996, she is , herself,probably inhabiting the three score years and ten area that you seem to find so amusing. .

@couldnotthinkofone I have just watched this clip again, there are loads of people under 70 in the audience. Watch this clip through to the end. Christa's playing takes on a whole new dimension and is simply quite fabulous. Who gives a stuff how old the average age of the audience is? My only comment ( previously aired) is that I am irritated by the fact that German, or maybe even other Continental audiences, insist on clapping to the music.

I have remarked about this piece before. Toward the end, it takes on a whole new dimension and is simply fabulous. Having played it again (several times because I love it) the major irritant, to me, is the audience clapping. Why do they do it?

Amazing! It brought tears to my eyes. In the United States on the old Lawrence Welk Show, there was a fantastic accordian player named Myron Floren who passed away a few years ago. Christa is as good or better than Myron! Bravo!!!!
