Thanks for the reveiw. I just saw this belt in a trade magazine and thought it was a bit pricey but now I think Ill get one for work and one for carry and classes. Im not a major fan of traditional BDU friction lock belts because they always seem to work themselves loose and they just arnt ridgid. Right now I just have a cheap Wal-Mart belt holding up my much more expensive 5.11 Tactical EMS pants. Thanks again.
I just found your channel and am working through your vids. You do good stuff. Thank you. I'm especially appreciating the EMS stuff which is mostly new to me. I've never watched a tourniquet review.
Ok, actual question - does this belt fit normal Levis belt loops? I'm not much for cargo pants and this thing doubled over looks thick. Will it fit normal jeans and khakis?
@SmokingandTyping Absolutely does. I wear this belt almost every day on duty and off. (I have one for station wear as well as off duty) I wear this belt with everything except swim trunks. Supports belt mounted items better than any belt I've worn.
6 weeks and 4 days since order date, and the belt has been shipped. :)
Question: all stiff things go soft eventually (erhm.....). I do not carry a gun all the time since that is against the law where I live. I only carry a gun when I actually intend to go shoot something on the range. Should I save the belt and only wear it when I actually do carry the gun, or should I wear it always? I would hate to "wear down" the belt unnecessarily. Any thoughts about that?
@MrSatanica Jake over at Ares certainly delivers on his time estimates. About your question; I've had my belt now for two months. I have worn it every day, with gun, and noted NO relaxing of the belt. It has also not deformed in any way as you would expect from belt loops and/or gun holsters. I carry at 2 (appendix), 3 (OWB in a Raven) and 4 (IWB Crossbreed) and this belt has done all perfectly. I am so pleased with it, I ordered a second for duty only. Everyday?=Yes! Be well.
@DoworkLT I got the belt today. Black on black, it is awsome, but darn, it was tricky to fit my non-molle items on it and thread it through the jeans loops. Once in place however, it is awsome. :)
@DoworkLT I am going to feature the belt tonight in a video reply contest. I am wearing it today and one small drawback is that you need lots of loops on your trousers, to keep for example your EDC multitool (like my LM Charge TTi) from sliding back and forth on the nylon. But that is more an issue about pants than about the belt itself.
Great video, well done my friend. Looks like a nice belt, gonna grab me a few for sure. My only concern although not a very big one, is the extra belt that's left over after the belt is latched "Locked", it would be nice to see some velcro or something to hold down that extra portion of the belt. I have some pants with lots of belt loops and some with not so many belt loops, so I wouldn't want that just hanging and/or flopping around. Great belt nonetheless. Stay safe. -Tim
Could you do an update video on your belt? Around a year how is it holding up?
