Archos products are flimsy and the tech support is a joke. I had a Archos 101 that decided I didn't need sound less then 10 hours out of the box. Its been gone for 3 weeks and still looks like I will not be getting a replacement soon. I leaned my lesson, screw Archos!

Windows 7 on a tablet right now has been a terrible idea for all products released/being released (Archos 9/Asus T91/etcetcetc)

I would have bought an Archos 9 on release day if it ran Windows Mobile 6.5.x instead and provided a slicker, smoother interface that was more intuitive to use.

@Impsterettes I got two Tablet PC, LS800 & LE1600, that run Win 7 Pro perfectly fine with no problems; the virtual keyboard is quite responsive and easy to use. You could even adjust the size of the keyboard size to suite your eye.

The Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch both incorporate multi-touch and stylus use, it's not impossible. But what I was meaning was Archos should make a capacitive touch screen Archos 9 alongside the resistive one they are making now. Because there are a lot of users waiting for capacitive tablets. Hopefully as smooth as iPhone's multi-touch. The HP Touchsmart's touch screen is pretty rough to get use to.

they sell styli that work on iPhone/iPod touch at the applestore, I just saw them today when I had to sign for my purchase there, the sales person handed me his iPod POS (Point of sale not piece o' $hit ;) ), and a stylus to sign, it was cool.

So there are styli that work on capacitive screens now.

i think the iPad and the archos and both kinda pointless imho. your average consumer is probably going to sit down and do some serious web surfing with this device which means it needs to be portable and i dont see this as any more portable then a netbook. they probably aren't going to watch a full length movie either as it will probably drain that battery (at least with the archos). and i really doubt anyone is going to type up a document on either. so why not just use an iphone and a netbook?
