  • This dude needs to order a truckload of Mylar bags! He's done a good job at prepping for SHTF. He's even got a beehive for dessert.

  • Thanks for the tip. I can even afford this and I make less then minimum wage.

  • indeed: the term is "couldn't care less."

  • learn grammer, look at your title.

  • @claytontom1 Learn spelling. Look at your grammar. Learn punctuation if you have time.

  • i love the ending lol

  • Your title is incorrect, you mean Couldn't care less.

  • Tell the hungry fools you will give them some supplies if they leave, then what you give them lace it with cyanide.

  • you're a douchebag if you spent that much money on wheat, beans and rice. you're a douchebag no matter what you spend your money on.

  • @zbyszek654 Why do you feel the need to call the man a douchebag. He spend HIS money on what HE wanted, for HIS reasons. He didn't harm you or disrespect you, yet you call him names. Why did you even post? You could have just moved on and not even watched the rest of the video if you so strongly disagreed. Good luck in your life.

  • @jeffery19677

exactly what i was thinking, glad you said it first.

i really dont know what is wrong with some people, this guy is thinking of the future and his family,

    well done sir.

  • gmo feed corn----do not use it-------

  • Your a sittin' duck out there. The most economical way to prep for a crises is to spend all your money on ammo, so when the time comes, you (and about thirty of your friends) can forcibly take the supplies of people who have spent all thier money stocking up on food. I hope you have an exit strategy..

  • @firebuilder71 I guarantee he has a plan to protect his family and food. Most people who think that far ahead, have already thought out effective defensive (and offensive) tactics. If I lived near this guy, I would definitely approach his front gate and announce myself before walking up to the house. In a SHTF situation, people will be shot for a lot less than walking toward the house quietly.

  • You have some GREAT VIDEOS!!!!! and the information with it...just wanted to let you know the LDS Cannery had a significant price increase since March 2011 to todays date of a minimum of 20%....I did a short video on my channel covering the cost increases.....They are probably still better than most retailers, but for those that waited---they will pay higher prices now on

  • Dude your breathing kinda hard...take a knee.

  • Where can you buy bulk food like that? Costco is the closest thing I have here. Thanks! and good luck!

  • Yea wheat is good and all, but you have to make sure you know how to grind it, clean it, and then use it correctly. Make sure you try it before SHTF.

  • LOL @ someone taking D's food. I"d like to see them try.

  • If you've got a lot of yeast and salt, you're in pretty good shape. If your prepping for 5 people, for 12 months, you'd need 1500 pounds of grain (wheat, corn, rice, oats, etc.), and 300 pounds of beans (legumes). The food storage calculator at providentliving(dot)org can tell you exactly how much you need for any number of people for any amount of time.

  • Ur missing pigs! They grow and reproduce quick. Prepping is a life style for sure, let no one mistake that! That was a good deal, where did u buy from?

  • @MrsNewAmericaNow dsarti1 buys from the LDS canneries. They have locations all across the US.

  • @MrsNewAmericaNow Where I live there are plenty enough wild pigs. All you need is a good trap and patience.

  • You got cattle on your farm, since when is that? Show 'em in a vid :)

  • Love your videos, keep them coming. If I were not married, I would just come out and give ya a big kiss. :)

  • do the bees go into hibernation in winter? or do they fly south? or do they just freeze up and hatch in spring?? I'm new to this and wonder how long my 12 lbs of honey will really last in a SHTF scenario... and how long does it ake for bees to make it their home once you set up the hive?

  • @MrLockandload Hm. Instinctively... NO, as I tend to dislike you just the way David does. However I will answer for all others. There was a point when it became clear that his channel was going to be cancelled someday, and possibly prosecuted, too, due to certain videos (nothing goats related - gimme a break with that Peta stuff please), Most won't know what hit them when everything is gone, but I unsubscribed and decided to monitor the channel on an ongoing basis, downloading the best videos.

  • Whatya gonna do when 10, 25 yr old guys show up with automatic weapons to take your live stock and bags of beans n' wheat from you?

  • @ForcedAgenda that is a secrete

  • @dsarti1 HA HA HA HA HA HA The only thing secret about that is the precise details.

  • @dsarti1 As much as I respect this guy's post, I can't help but think that if you can't even spell "secret" correctly, you won't quite be prepared for those "25 yr. olds". By the way, I do actually hope you are. I mean no ill will. :) I just hate stupidity and illogical thoughts of grandeur. not to say that's where you're at of course.

  • @dsarti1

  • @ForcedAgenda dsarti1's stews will taste like chicken and he will have a chest full of accumulated firepower.

  • @ForcedAgenda I may not agree with everything dsarti1 says, but I wouldn't mess with this guy's shit. Seriously. If the shit hit the fan and I was STARVING I'm not headed into his house for anything. CHeck out his home defense video. The last thing you'll hear are small barking dogs and the firing of his AK while he's standing naked on his stairs with a vest.

  • @ForcedAgenda .... dsarti would just get on his CB radio and The Patriot Justice League Regiment will be on the way to help their friend in need.

  • @ForcedAgenda LOL you must be from the city. If this guy is this prepared with food don't you think he has means of protection? LOL like I said, you must be from the city.

  • @1q2w3e922 "LOL" (you clown)...I'm NOT from the city...I just have a brain and I use it. Don't you think that there are people that when starving, aren't capable of ambushing a home that 'has food' (especially after he has advertised it on YouTube), with guns and maybe a few people to back them up, is impossible or something? You must be of the mind-set of those who live with thoughts of grandeur. Get a grip on what will 'actually happen' when TSHTF.

  • @ForcedAgenda they will surely come to take what he has, but if he is a wise man he will get a backhole in there and construct some escape tunnels with drain pipe that he can have leaving a secret passage from his house. He will need four passages so he can come out and kill any intruders from each side of his perimeter. I have my place well secured and will be able to take out a platoon size force with my son's help. Not much you can do when two M-60's are letting loose on you. Let them come!

  • @NWO20122012 Agreed and well said.

  • @ForcedAgenda Did he give his addy out? I dont recall earing it or seein it.. for 2 food storage is for when ones personal life SHTF it doesnt mean the sky is falling it could mean just yours like you lose a Job.. a loved one dies an you need to pay final expenses.. your family vehicle died and you need all money for a new one.. The purpose of storing food and personal items and saving money/silver what have you is not just for a zombie attack rather for when life attacks!

  • @Ihold8stars He doesn't have to give out his address and I understand the importance of having food storage in the event of any and all events that might require the necessity. My previous comment has nothing to do with that...

WTSHTF, thugs don't have to have your address, they'll roam the streets and break doors down. They'll come in gangs & multitudes.

  • thats how you do it !!

  • thanks for the tips my fellow patriot!

  • That could last a family for several years if you were to ration it properly, and use only a slight amount. Just enough to survive. In the worst case scenario, you could make that last for probably a long time.

  • @CCourson05 LOL you must have flunked math class

  • @dsarti1 Actually I do very well in math, I am in college as a pharmacy major. I just know that if you were to use other resources along with that stuff, you could last a long time on those stocks.

  • @CCourson05

Did you see the size of that dude? I don't think he's into rations.

  • @CCourson05

Did you see the size of that dude? I don't think he's into rations.

  • @CCourson05

I don't think that guy is into rationing food.

  • Great job Dave!

  • LOVE it! Where did you go to buy all of that? I find I generally have to order my food. Where will you store all of this food once you put it in mylar bags? I don't have nearly what you have and I am quickly running out of space. I do have a barn but it is not heated or cooled.

  • Hi Dave, thanks for the information. God Bless.

  • I just thought other preppers would, like me, get on with life at some point. You draw the line.

  • @2010collapse I once learned a valuable life lesson from a hard-ass army drill sergeant that can be applied to almost every aspect of life. "Fortify your defensive position," he said. "Look for ways to strengthen and secure your assigned post every single day." Viewed more broadly, those words of wisdom can apply to everything from education to interpersonal relations, or budgeting to tire rotations. Dave's just fortifying his food security position" and he's having fun in the process. :)

  • @bee13zz I know he is, and in fact I am one of his most loyal non-subscribed followers, but as I said, we are the ones that must draw the line, given the fact that there's no prepping limit - money allowing. TheAmericanprepper said it below: 'Dave will likely outlive all other preppers'. Let alone the non-prepared sheeple. But what is the point then, being the last human on earth?.

  • @2010collapse Agreed. Each must decide when their preps comfort level has arrived, though I argue that one should remain vigilant to situational changes that may call for more "fortification," as I mentioned below.

Regarding foodstuffs, stocking up on basic staples with a 20-30 year shelf life, as Dave is doing here, is a powerful hedge against inflating food prices that will surely shock the world. In my mind, Dave understands this and is proactively hedging his bets while he can...

  • @2010collapse Lastly, preps only make sense if I believe mankind will survive and the world will continue to turn despite the staggering global social and political "reset" that I'm convinced has already been baked into the cake, so to speak.

While certainly possible, considering man's influence on the planet, I can't embrace the last man alive scenario that I sometimes enjoy watching on a Saturday afternoon matinee. I see humanity pressing forward with the prepared leading the way.

  • I have only been prepping for a short time. I do have canned food, water, guns, amo. basic first aid supplies, generater, and a few other items put away for a rainy day. I have also been trying to gather knowledge from others. I really enjot your videos. They are very informative. . Can you suggest any ideas about things that I should be trying to learn about. What kinds of chicken are best at laying eggs? What breed of rabbit has the most meat on it? Thanks for all of your help :)

  • @lillybart123 My aunt bred white rabbits - I want to say they were "California(n)s?" I'd have to ask her again. I also know Flemmish Giants are HUUUGE, and therefore I would assume big on their meat factor when it comes to rabbit meat, however, don't take my word on that one. Rabbit meat is GOOD eating, and very plentiful as they breed like...well...rabbits! But do be aware that rabbit meat is VERY lean, and unless you plan on eating the marrow in the bones, has very little sustaining value.

  • My aunt also raised Rhode Island Reds, and they seemed to be PROLIFIC egg producers, providing their diet is hearty, and their calcium levels are kept up. (Lack of calcium can cause egg binding - where the egg can't pass - and will kill your hens.)

  • good deal .how muchd does it cost u for cans and other stuff to package it for long term storage ?

  • Love Deseret Industries, good prices and lots of great things for prepping. Google, find the Mormon cannery near you...

  • Where in the heck can you buy bags of whole wheat? I'd love to know that

  • @iwant2cryTUBE look for the nearest LDS cannery. The Mormon church has food storage as part of their religion. They do still sell to people that are not members of their church, at very good prices.

  • Please lower the volume of the background music. I can't hear what you have to say.

  • great video thanks for showing people that it can be easy and cheap to prep if you just take your time and do some homework to find the right places to purchase the products you need

  • You might not want to say your address.

  • nice to see that somebody is showing pepole how to properly prepare. I wish I had the room so I could grow/store more food. well at least I am good for 6 months. I still gottaway to go. thanks for the insperation.

  • @bigrob911 Google Deseret Industries, or LDS cannery, they have a lot of food storage prep. there. They sell to non-members at great prices. Make that hard to come by prepping dollar go farther

  • Where did you get such a great deal????

  • @e026026 LDS cannery, google for nearest one. call and get address... all welcome to by food storage there.

  • My family are my food if the SHTF. Muhahhahah

  • you got ripped off

  • @metalhead2508, I don't hate the gun videos, I just hate the opinion most people seem to have that in SHTF we're all going to become Rambo or something. I like channels that focus on sustainability like dsart1's and yankeepreppers

  • Comment removed

  • @dsarti1 no buddy, I don't hate your gun videos :)

What I meant was I I prefer channels that actually teach SHTF skills, like yours. And that focus on sustainability and regenerating resources like with your goats and bees. What I dislike is people that focus on guns. I have guns and ammo, and think its important, but in SHTF these commando types are going to be the first ones to die.

  • I am interested in how you plan to defend this stockpile of yours when your hungry neighbors arrive in an angry mob at your doorstep??

  • @dsarti1: Good prepping, but the bags are basically all carbs, which I highly doubt is a good thing for your health, especially when you're overweight (It's better than NO food, but still...) Besides the eggs, (goat)milk and nuts, may I suggest you start buying pigfat for making lard, that can be stored quite a long time outside a fridge. (Same goes for ghee, which you can clarify from butter) Dryed veggies, berries and beef jerky... also healthy stuff. Take care!

  • @matrixview No shit!!! what part of emergency food do you not understand!!

  • @dsarti1 Like I said: All those carbs is better than no food. Just giving you some different healthy tips for prepping. Do with it as you please...

  • @dsarti1 OMG maybe you should get some freeze dried tofu or better yet cases of diet soda, and no sugar candy...........as for me I am going to keep powered celery and paprika bag after bag

  • @dsarti1 When I was a kid I was really overweight, and I was sick a lot. Several years ago I got into the habit of eating the widest variety of food I could everyday along with incorporating a lot of fruits and vegetables into my diet. Not only did I start to lose weight, but ever since then I hardly ever get sick. I credit it to better nutrition. In a SHTF senario, if carb rich food makes up the vast majority of your diet, you risk illness due to poor nutrition, at the worst time to get sick.

  • @matrixview Beans are amazing PROTEIN as are wheat berries. Not sure how healthy freakin pig lard is so before you suggest do some research on survival foods. You also can learn a few things from dsarti1. Take Care! I guess everyone has an opinion just like a hole.

  • @CHEECHAKOSMONTANA Hi. Don't get too emotional about comments and make assumptions on what others have researched on nutrition or survival... you'd be surprised.

Now, beans, grains and nuts CAN be healthy, IF you know how to process them, otherwise they can be quite detrimental actually.

Lard (from healthy pigs), ghee and coconut oil are incredible sources of fat. As for protein, whey is easiest for long-term storage. I'd prefer raw milk, but you can't store it.

  • Impressive, but now I guess you're done prepping, so what's next?

  • @2010collapse Done prepping?? LOL not hardly this is just food.. Power generation and animal feed still lacking maybe after another ton of wheat and 2 ton of corn and 2 kw of solar and 500 watt of wind generators... then comes rotation and maintnence.... never done

  • You could also say its less than a flat screen tv....to really put it into prespective for everyone!

  • I agree I see it over and over..some even have the money to buy it already packed and they do nothing..Poo Poo me I am crazy...Thanks....

  • I thought wheat goes rancid after a few months because of the oils in the grain. Was it whole wheat or refined? Is it safe to store it for several years?

  • @Firedancer1987 They have found WHOLE wheat thousands of years old that was still good

  • @dsarti1 Do they have a minimum on what you can buy at a time? Been trying for some time to find a bulk foods warehouse around here

  • @dsarti1 how do you keep the bugs out of grains like wheat and rice?

  • @Firedancer1987 That's flour, not wheat berries. The base wheat berries will last for a life time if kept in the right conditions. Honey is the same way.

You grind the berries up as you need them. Get a hand grinder with a fly wheel from a quality maker, and it will last you a life time too.

  • Kick *ss dsarti. Prepping is being prepare to be self sufficient and sustainable; and you got it. Thanks for sharing. Is that LDS food??????

  • Very nice video! Very good points Dave! i complement you on your strategy-I too, am not a Mormon , but do purchase food supplies from their Bishops' Warehouse. I think your message was excellent and VERY timely.

    God bless and best wishes.

  • well i don't think thats entirely true. although people need to know how important it is to prepare, but to say parents dont care if their kids starve isn't true. Im sure if it came down to it, they would figure it out = Can try to tell people to save/prepare to emergancys. You know what I got for $570 dollars a Root Canal. WOOOP! lol insurance paid 2000$ of it. so i guess it wasnt too bad. Or i could have bought shoes. sometimes i wish i had the shoes ;)

  • @annielwhite yea annie but you must admit the title got your attention.

  • Role model.

  • Great video Dave, how about a video on what exactly you use the wheat for?

  • Is there a minimum purchase when you buy stuff like that? I'd like to make a purchase but that's a bit much for me right now.

  • good buy. i agree people do have to think about there families and need to start prepping so they can provide for them .. I need more stuff my self, and i defintly need to go to lds

  • nice video Dave

  • prepairing for a disater is importent . everyone should have a stash of food for themselves and love ones and there pest becouse you need to thank about them to in all this becouse if you cant to the store then you need to have a back up stasthfor them as well. and back up medicians for you and your pet. Also dont forget that pets will need drinking water if you dont have any from the tap .

  • Where did you get this at? Anything local to AL, MS or TN?

  • @mf29961 That's what I would like to know. Where did you get this at, Dave?

  • Just curious why you never added rabbits to the farm...?

  • @UrbanCombatSurvivor there are rabbits and squerlls here naterually

  • Awesome video, I've been using your video's to prep as well as some others, I think i've got a great way for you to help other people you know prep a lot quicker and cheaper since time is wasting.

  • Thank you for an excellent vid. I have a little put away thanks to you. Think I'll get some more now. Where do you get your mylar bags and o2's? God Bless. Be well.

  • nice vid keep..um coming !

  • someones been visiting the Mormon LDS cannery :) i actually just got back for the first time tonight, 6 hour canning session, exhausting, spend well over 2,000. Let me tell you prices are almost half if not less when you have a hookup with the Mormons.

  • Very impressive!

  • Well...You just put my food supply to shame. thumbs up buddy.

  • Cooking is what I do to make money, Afew bucks I could feed afew people better than some people around the world.. If I had something like this in my hands I could feed an army. lol

  • Dude thats price of one fucking pistol...

  • Commodity prices of sugar, wheat, oats etc since last spring and summer are up more than 50% and in the case of sugar, 100%. Price inflation is headed our way, especially in food prices. Food prices are not included in the CPI. Food is the best investment and insurance. Don't forget lots cooking oils. Criso will work, but canned butter is better for you and stores better than Criso, 5 years. Olive oil not for frying, but for baking, and stores forever in the freezer. Criso does not.

  • im coming to your place your gona need security !

  • @SHEEPLEVISIONNETWORK already have security,,,, visiting after WROL could result in toxic lead poisioning.

  • Just curious Dave... How many 5 gallon buckets do you think you will need to pack all that up?

    Thanks,

    neotracer

  • @neotracer075 about 3 55gal steel drums

  • @mapleleak Well make a video and show us how it's "really" done.

  • @parlusk I hate the gun videos. People walking around outside with AK's after SHTF are going to be the first ones to die.. from either the fema squads or with a 70 year old deer hunter caps them..

  • @socialteaparty You hate the gun videos, but you subscribe to them all?

  • @metalhead2508 thats caled ambivalent attitude.

  • @socialteaparty When FEMA will not be shootin anyone. If there was a econimic crisis the UN would try to take over and I may be proud to be the first to go... But the game will be how many will I take with me... I will have to become the hillbilly Jehadist

  • @socialteaparty When FEMA will not be shootin anyone. If there was a econimic crisis the UN would try to take over and I may be proud to be the first to go... But the game will be how many will I take with me... I will have to become the hillbilly Jehadist

  • @dsarti1 i always watch your videos :) but yes it did :)

  • very cool and great message

  • Forgot to mention that Dave deserves the Brass Balls Award for this stunt. It was the right thing to do.

  • All you have to do is go to your local feed store. Its not that hard to do. They are all over the place. I am guessing that most posters on here all live in the city. So just use the yellow pages and look up feed stores.

  • Where do you order your buckets and mylar?

  • you know that you are really prepping when you watch these videos over gun videos...

  • @parlusk LOL...yah, right!!

  • awesome..

  • Well now ya done dun it!! Ya just showed the feds where to go FIRST to cripple ya! =(

Thanks for sharing this info but I think I really would be worried about showing all my stock pile on YT considering the "Big Brother" monitoring that goes on here!

    Just sayin'....

  • @85kwg you need to watch my other videos verry little of that is stored here

  • @dsarti1 Oh ok...that's good to know! I don't know how I got you stored on my subs (God) but you somehow popped up on them tonight (God) so I guess someone's trying to show me something (God). I will definately watch your other vids!

Oh... Did I mention I love GOD!! =)

    Peace & Prayers

  • Maybe he is buying all this food so his family will not look at him as a meal.

  • @mythic89 That was NOT nice!

  • If you're really broke, skip the bucket and bags and oxygen absorbers, just dump it all in a galivanized trash can, whatever container that won't contaminate and will keep it dry and the rats out. Wheat is stored in silo's for years and years. It's winter time. Stick it outside for couple of weeks when it freezes hard, consistantly below freezing, and kill all the bugs and eggs. Done. Look up EmergencyEssentials com and get it prepackaged cheeep.

  • Comment removed

  • jup i'm salivating...

  • If folks did their grocery shopping this way they could save tons of $ just need a freezer side of beef or hunt one of them wild pigs and you have plenty grub for your family. I make meals all the time for~$5 that will feed us 3 times. When you make pancakes over do it and place extra on a pan to freeze bag them after frozen.Nuke them 30 sec yum. When you go to store buy fresh bread everytime place the good old bread in freezer for toast if you run out of bread. Eating out is >%of manys $.

  • So, did you actually pick this up at The Ready Store, or did you buy from a local farmer's co-op or grain mill?

  • wow your set on food for a LONG time!!!

  • That’s just stupid! You could have bought a $70 bus ticket to Tunica, MS and played the $500 slot machine.

  • It's like Peter Fonda said in Easyrider: "Well you got a nice spread hear man, No I mean it, it's not every man who can live off the land, ya know. You do your own thing in your own time. You should be proud."

  • Curious to know if there is anything you can prep in the way of junk food? Like dehydrated Krispy Kremes or something. I don't really eat this kind of food anyways but I can imagine it would be an incredible morale booster in tough times.

  • @malro67

There is a guy on YouTube, CutleryLover, who is testing the lifespan of Twinkies. I believe he says a Twinkie can last at least a year, maybe two.

  • @malro67 store some sugar, wheat, honey, brown sugar, vanilla extract etc and make your own junk food would be your best bet. Canned applesauce can take the place of eggs for binding your cakes. Sugar and water with vanilla extract can make a cream filling or frosting.

  • @americangamefowl Not so sure about the applesauce thing but ground flax seed meal, mixed with just a little water will make an 'egg'

  • @katzcradul You are absolutely right about the flax seed meal.

I am sure the applesauce works, my bitter er... I mean better half is allergic to eggs, so she has to make substitutions in her baking, and applesauce is the one she uses most.

  • Like many others, I too want to know where you buy such large bags of beans, rice, wheat, etc? Good prep job. Still a lot to do to complete the prep, though. I smell new videos...

  • You dave, well survive good sir, just make sure you get extra weapons for friends and hide everything in different places.

  • You have to be prepared for anything. When our well pump went out and we didn't have water and our gas was shut off because of a leak, we cooked outside on bricks on the ground and our oven rack on top. Emergencies happen. Are you a survivor or will you be spoiled by the conveniences you've gotten used to having?

  • Very cool may I ask where you get yours? I work at a non profit cannery and we are always looking for new places to get our product. Thanks Den

  • dave, please shoot some vid on how you store that haul. also, i assume you have a well? keep up the great work!

  • Thats very impressive Dave!, keep up the good work!

  • Have you tried their dehydrated refried beans. Our kids love them just for a snack. LDS has some great items to get for storage

  • Love you Dave! Thank you for all you have taught me. Here in KS.

  • looks like a good haul cheers

  • You could buy an iPhone for that much money. ha ha ha ha....

  • where did you get your wheat... the ready store does not seem to have it...

  • yepper........

  • Well done! Happy Thanksgiving

  • wwe
