@storyofstuffproject I know how: you are making this shit up. Its pretty easy to be happy when your bullshit is getting swallowed by thousands of empty headed assholes. Here's something to be sad about: I intentionally hurt the environment in a direct response to your lies and bullshit.
Hello. I want you to have a look at the presentation video of the winning project in 2009 at Imgaine Cup. I think it is brilliant, but unfortunately it was never put to good use. upcity.wordpress
Annie, spend as much time showing people how to optimistic while being aware. It is as important as any campaign. Too many activists refuse to accept that people get overwhelmed and beaten down. They just keep piling problem after problem on people and act shocked when they are tuned out. If you can work making people feel stoked into your activism you will get more new activists. Don't take the fact that you feel optimism for granted.
@foodsharenetwork if you could add yourself to the form bit[dot]ly[slash]SOSpodcasts (also linked in the video description) that'd be great! That's where we'll be checking out all the podcast story suggestions. Thanks!
You inspire me...as do my friends in southern Spain. After visiting them and seeing how they live, I committed to not using my electric dryer. After a year of not using it, or even missing it, and realizing that its main function was now to hold the cat food, I donated it to Habitat. I've also weaned myself from the microwave, the disposal and the dishwasher. And, best of all, I've decided to take a nap in the heat of the day instead of cranking up the AC. Onward and forward.
@darrask It's just me and the dog. I use a spray bottle for the soap application and wash as I go. I would take me days to fill up a dishwasher...and my "favorite" knife would be in there...and my favorite cup...A dishwasher just didn't make sense for me and my life style.
If we didn't have multi-trillions of unending "electronic" fiat ,fractional reserve, exponential currency we would have never created this global consumption black hole.

Glad to have that podcast!
A pity the video white balance is so cool and the image so shaky, looks a bit homemade.

@pjcauble recent dishwashers are actually more economic than man-made dishwashing, so how do you wash your dishes now?

@pjcauble Do you realize the economic mess Spain is in now?

@jkovert They don't care. Nevermind that "green 'jobs'" (its double irony) ruined their country. Hey.......looks like they got us too!
