But as a fact wolves mostly hunt the weak & illed elk/deer in the herd. If they kill the illed in the herd that sickness wont pass on to the rest of their herd. each animal is there for a reason everything is in balance theres no wolves, theres MORE elk & more prey (hint) = increase of plant loss= less animals. hunters kill them for money and more elk/deer to hunt

86 Wolves killed 10,000 Elk from the N Yelowwstone Elk herd in 3 yrs 2000-2003. Today that heard hovers at 7000- no calves- Wolf is killing the Bulls as fast as the calves. Commonly found in Veterans that have been in War. She found the children were in constants fear that wolves were going to wipe out the family ranching business attack one of their love ones in the family witness constants slaughtered of pets and livestock. The main stress was cause from not being able to defend against the wolves.

I've spoken with many hunters. The first thing coming out of their mouth is insults and name calling. People who hunt for pleasure usually always are anti-wolf. They see the wolf as a nuisance and competition. So, it's a biased point of view: hunters enjoy the sport of killing so it's natural for them to be anti-wolf. Historically, people exterminated wolves in almost every area: burning, pulling limbs apart, trapping, poisoning (which killed other non-target animals). Makes no sense.
Firstly , go read a biology textbook. You would then know that predator numbers are controlled by the amount of prey. If there are too many predators and too few prey , starvation kills the excess off until balance occurs. Hunting wolves hasnt made the population any healthier. Populations are now cut off from other ones , so the isolated ones suffer from inbreeding and therefore genetic diseases. the example of this is the wolf populations in norway. Google it. Idiot

But as a fact wolves mostly hunt the weak & illed elk/deer in the herd. If they kill the illed in the herd that sickness wont pass on to the rest of their herd. each animal is there for a reason everything is in balance theres no wolves, theres MORE elk & more prey (hint) = increase of plant loss= less animals. hunters kill them for money and more elk/deer to hunt

86 Wolves killed 10,000 Elk from the N Yelowwstone Elk herd in 3 yrs 2000-2003. Today that heard hovers at 7000- no calves- Wolf is killing the Bulls as fast as the calves. Being around this pack of Wolves is what made me angry !! They had to eat 64 lbs apiece a day 24/7 which is impossible !!! Sport Killing was rampant. Sport Killing is what made me Hate them even more. When they started Jerking fetuses I finally realized they are PURE EVIL .

In my film Undue Burden the Psychologist that interview the children living with wolves. The children have all the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress syndrome. Commonly found in Veterans that have been in War. She found the children were in constants fear that wolves were going to wipe out the family ranching business attack one of their love ones in the family witness constants slaughtered of pets and livestock. I've spoken with many hunters. The first thing coming out of their mouth is insults and name calling. People who hunt for pleasure usually always are anti-wolf. They see the wolf as a nuisance and competition. So, it's a biased point of view: hunters enjoy the sport of killing so it's natural for them to be anti-wolf. Historically, people exterminated wolves in almost every area: burning, pulling limbs apart, trapping, poisoning (which killed other non-target animals). Makes no sense.

Firstly , go read a biology textbook. You would then know that predator numbers are controlled by the amount of prey. If there are too many predators and too few prey , starvation kills the excess off until balance occurs. Hunting wolves hasnt made the population any healthier. Populations are now cut off from other ones , so the isolated ones suffer from inbreeding and therefore genetic diseases. the example of this is the wolf populations in norway. Google it. Idiot

My point is Norway has nothing to do with America. The wolves in Yellowstone are coming down with disease that is proven fact. The Native American for 10,000 years before Whiteman showed up hunted trapped and poison wolves. They are not special they are just a animal that needs controlled hunting. I guess it was just a joke that the wolf was on the endangered species list before they gave them federal protection , or that the ranges of the wolf across the globe have shrunk signifigantly , such as no more wolves in europe , india and the US. Various native american tribes hunted the wolf as a right of passage into manhood , but not on the same scale today.

First according to Endangered species act the animal must be closed to extinction to be listed their is over 50,000 wolves in Canada and another 11,000 in Alaska closed to extinction nope. David Mech also stated that wolves in the Tri states of Mt WY and Idaho were twice the offical numbers over 3000 because of the fraud of the offical count. Mech also stated clearly in his book on wolves that you could hunt and harvest 35-50% of the wolves EACH AND EVERY year and would not hurt the overall population. Parvo is a wonderful disease and quite effective. I have to disagree about the Wolf Hunting, it does have an impact because when one gets into trouble they all suffer the same fate- Death. The whole pack has to be destroyed. As the game gets scarcer in Yellowstone there will be more conflicts and more packs will have to be dealt with, unfortunately the Wolf doesn't have the survival skills of the Coyote so between his inabilities and Parvo the Wolf is soon to be Extinct again-KARMA.
