  • German cousins across the divide

  • They are good at writing songs about countryside disaster, their song about the foot and mouth is also awesome and touching...

  • how can there be 2 dislikers of this song, the only thing i can think is that both N. clegg & D. camron.

  • @MrOyysch proves you don't understand the song if you think that

  • @MrOyysch It's not "blaming immigrants", its a song about things being 'upset' as we have too much rain, others have too little, and for all the aid that is sent it makes no difference and people look for new lives elsewhere.

  • great song but its not on the best off album .. what album is it on?

  • Cold Frontier

  • this is quite scarey cuz i live in worcster and it was cut in half and i was cut off from my grandad this is a very touching song

  • Erm...guys, I don't think the flood this song is about has much to do with excess water. Listen to the words...

  • Thank you for your comment. The song is of course multi-faceted, covering flood, climate change, immigration and comments on financial issues in a prescient manner. On the other hand, this was done in the aftermath of UK unseasonable floods and before the appearance of the credit crisis albeit not before the clampdown on civil liberties by the current government.

  • Hey lets focus on the happy stuff!

    Maybe a drought song next!

  • The Romans did indeed grow grapes, as Britain was hotter then. Climate does change, that was 2000 years ago. The difference this time is the pace of change, considerable change happening with a few decades, faster than EVER before.

  • What a great band. Some of their songs, I swear, have more relevance than the entire multitude of pro-tools enabled shit that is the charts these days. Seriously, they'll be doing a South Bank on this lot soon, and all the trendy wankers will leap straight on the bandwaggon, mark my words. Superb band, with a real message... such great British talent...

  • Noah loved this song!

  • climate change? did you know the romans used to grow grapes on hadrians wall!

  • They might well have...but there wasn't quite as many of us then. Probably also, a small matter of a flood would have been accepted as the will of the gods!

  • Its turned out nice since they got rid of that ozone layer thingy!

  • well who ever really liked that ozone smell!

  • I agree but surely cutting down on carbon emissions is a good thing, I'm sure we'd all like to breath cleaner air.

  • Can't disagree

  • Yeah, Britain was much hotter when the Romans were here... grapes only grow in hot climates.

  • @TheRetroPop We grow grapes now =)

  • @GoblinJuiceII

Only due to temperatures rising back towards what they were 2000 years ago... the world runs in cycles.

  • I live on Hadrian's Wall - we've flooded the past two summers - go figure!!

  • nice sonnnnng!

  • Ah. Greetings from Gloucestershire. Glug Glug Glug... Ta for the montage. Great song. Reminded me that Tewkesbury is getting a lifeboat station...

    70 miles in land???
