  • This is a great example of the music (and performers) which does not scream at me. We need more like this and also bring back the old ones.

  • Beautiful arrangement, lovely interpretation.

  • Those were the days whe there was MUSIC.

  • Recorded by many,NONE this good...........

  • I'm an absolute metalhead. I love me some good face-melting metal thrashing awesomeness like Sabaton, Hammerfall, Megadeth, and Twisted Tower Dire!

But I adore Jo Stafford's music! Timeless and gentle, and the musical version of hugging a loved one. I need that too!

  • Much as I absolutely love Eva Cassidy's version, this is simply classic.

  • @QuartuvLarry "GI Jo" on Amazon. My review "If you want your heart broken...."

  • What year was this recorded?

  • @thot4 1947 wiki it! :)

  • JO AND FRANK SINATRA ON THE HIT PARADE AT 8PM EVERY SAT. NIGHT, FOLLOWED BY GANG BUSTERS. JUST RADIO. TV HAD NOT COME ALONG YET.

  • Best version of this song is by Edith Piaf. Her libratto will bowl you over.

  • @weightfeather1 I was immediatley impressed.

  • wow i really love this video, its so pretty

  • la chanson de Prévert et Cosma....voir aussi l'interprétation d'Yves Montand ......

  • i was watching a judy garland mix and somehow got redirected to this. i'd say she has a medium amount of talent.

  • @No1KCfan6 I think you got that wrong. She had loads of tallent. I've only come across her name in the last hour, in a Julie London mix om You Tube. Her inclusion alongside Julie London, Lena Horne and Peggy Lee is well deserved. You can't, reasonably, say any of those, had a medium amount of talent.

  • @christopauls no, i didn't say julie london, lena horne, or peggy lee had a medium amount of talent. i said jo stafford has a medium amount of talent :-p

  • @No1KCfan6 I konw, that's what you said. I think Julie London was a fantastic singer, as was Peggy Lee. I don't really know much of Jo Stafford, but she sits well in this company. Medium, she isn't.

  • Beautiful Jo, the best popular singer anywhere, ever.

  • though i never experience having autumn here in the Philippines, i always love this song ever since i heard it when i was a little kid...for just the same, its lyrics evokes a familiar theme.. of missing someone i can not call my own...

  • WOW! I've heard this by Johnny Mercer, and Nat King Cole, but this is an awesome version. Only heard Jo Stafford sing "You Belong to Me," on an LP my mom had with other singers of the same time frame.

  • pertttty C:

  • just love her RIP xx

  • I love Jo Stafford's old recordings. How can I get a copy of this?

  • @JoeSzilagy Thanks, I'll check at amazon.com.

  • @MrEriesal Good! I don't know if you've ordered from Amazon.com before or not, but I was once distrustful of them and any other online service that sold goods online, until a friend (who had orderded books from there for years), convinced me that it was perfectly safe. Since then, I've not only ordered from them, as well as Amazon.ca here in Canada, but from Amazon in the UK as well. And, everything is brand new, factory-sealed, and delivered to your door (for free if you spend over $39.

  • Excellent video and classy recording artist .

  • Is this really the version by Jo Stafford?

  • @HateIronMaiden Yes.

  • What a great song! Nice video too!
